Internet Browser:
● Use Chrome to access the internet.
● Almost all of our programs function better when using Chrome.

Bookmark Bar:
● Directions to easily bookmark websites: Click HERE.

ACPS Homepage:

● Scroll toward the bottom of the page.
● Click on Staff “More Links”. This will give you the primary links to access ACPS
programs.

Zimbra
● Used to access Email
● To Login go to https://www.mail.acps.k12.va.us
● Username is first name.last name, your employee id number is the password until you
log in the first time. Then the password becomes whatever you create.

PowerTeacher
● Use to Take Attendance and Enter Grades
● Directions for Attendance: Click HERE.
● Directions to Create Assignments: Click HERE.
● Directions to Enter Grades: Click HERE.

Google Drive
● Use for organizing, composing, and sharing documents with staff and students
● Directions for use: Click HERE

Canvas
● Use to access tutorials and tech support

Hapara: (Not in use during virtual learning)


● ‘Guide Browse’ students so they are only able to access specific websites
● Share out weblinks
● Monitor student chromebook use
● Directions: Click HERE

Clever:
● ACPS Bookmark site that stores all student passwords for essential digital tools
● This portal should be used to access all digital media/programs for you and students
● It enters students into district accounts by accessing the correct portals

● For student access, they click on the House icon to the top left of the URL bar on
their Chromebook.
● You can also type in www.clever.com/in/alexandria
● **If students Google the website of Clever, it will take them to the incorrect site that will
not function properly.

Schoolnet:
● Used to give some assessments for students (ask your teammates when it is used)
● To access Schoolnet, open PowerTeacher > in the upper right corner click on the small
box with an arrow pointing out to the right > then select SchoolNet.

Student Laptop: You only need this if you temporarily have a student loaner laptop
● Username = student, Password = hammond
● Remember that this computer has “Deep Freeze”, so when it is shut down it will wipe
clean anything that is saved on the computer.

integrates technology meaningfully.
