Huong Dan Ghi So Nhat Ky Dau Part III

This document outlines the record keeping requirements for ozone depleting substances, NOx Tier III emissions, and sulfur oxides on ships. It lists: 1) What must be recorded for ozone depleting substances, including recharges, repairs, discharges, and supplies of these substances. 2) The engine tier status and position that must be recorded when entering and exiting areas with NOx Tier III emission control. 3) Bunkering details like position, fuel type, density, and sulfur content that must be recorded after each fueling. The volume of low-sulfur fuel in tanks must also be recorded when entering or exiting emission control areas.

C. SULPHUR OXIDES (SOx) (After every bunkering operation)

(To be made in Oil record Book I - for all ships including tankers)

3. Position of vessel, type of fuel, A.P.I.*, density at 15°C (Kg/cm3), Sulphur content

* API: American Petroleum Institute: You should get it from FO analysis data.
If not, you should get it
1) by Petroleum measurement tables or
2) by calculation.
Specific gravity = Density / 0.99997
API degree = (141.5/Specific gravity) - 131.5
Example:
Density 980kg/m3=0.980g/cm3
Specific gravity = 0.980/0.99997 = 0.980 (approx.)
API degree = (141.5/0.98) - 131.5 = 12.89

Entries to be made after every bunkering operation

(If bunkering more than one grade of fuel, a separate entry should be made for each)
