Services and competences for the maintenance of DEUTZ engines

The 2nd replacement is made on account of:

● Updating

One of the main jobs of the SERVICE department with its world-wide service network is the
proper servicing (maintenance, inspection, repair) of the engines delivered by DEUTZ. All
the associated activities are subject to constantly increasing quality demands from the mar-
ket and customers. The product and service quality of DEUTZ AG is assured by a certified
quality management system in accordance with DIN ISO 9001 and subsequent standards.
Subsidiaries and contract partners in the service network also use certified quality manage-
ment systems.
In order to ensure that all maintenance work on DEUTZ products can be carried out in a
qualified way with the know how appropriate to the degree of difficulty and using the nec-
essary equipment and Genuine Deutz parts, the services and competencies for mainte-
nance have been redefined iln the form of competence classes for the world-wide service.
The updated technical contents of the competence classes including an assignment to the
maintenance stages of the regular maintenance schedules, the necessary modules for en-
suring service competence and their application for service partners and customers in the
DEUTZ service network are described in the appendices 1 to 3.. An individual assignment
of competence classes to the service partners in the DEUTZ service network is made under
consideration of the regional engine population and the service requirements by the DEUTZ

Note:
The part numbers indicated in this document are not subject to updating.

AG Service department in agreement with the regionally responsible companies.

Every individual service partner is obliged to create the necessary conditions for ensuring
and maintaining his service competence.

Services and competences for the maintenance of DEUTZ engines

The basis for this is the availability of the relevant eletronic data processing systems and
documentation, the use of the special tools developed for proper professional maintenance,
workshop equipment according to our specifications, trained personnel, a suitable appear-
ance and the logistic conditions for fast availability of Genuine Deutz parts.
The respective competence classes are integrated successively as part of the contract in
the agreements with our service partners and customers.
The newly developed PC-aided SERNET system is now available for self-control and
checking whether and to what extent the conditions for the service competence of the serv-
ice partners are satisfied. The performance capability of the DEUTZ service network is as-
sessed and certified by the SERNET system.
