100KW biomass syngas power plant proposal

1. Biomass Energy--Green Energy

Under the situation of global energy saving, emission reduction, low carbon and

environmental protection, under the pressure of increasing price of fossil resources,

depletion of fossil energy resources and greenhouse effect, biomass energy is the only

renewable energy that can be stored and transported, and the only renewable energy that

can be converted into gaseous, liquid and solid fuels and other chemical raw materials or

products. The development of clean new energy is sustainable. The only way for

sustainable development is to develop and utilize biomass fuels in new forms because of

their advantages of wide sources, low cost, low pollution and renewable.

2. Brief introduction of biomass gasification power generation system

Biomass gasification power generation technology, also known as biomass power

generation system, is a technology that converts all kinds of low calorific value solid

biomass energy resources (such as agricultural and forestry waste, crop straw, domestic

organic waste, edible fungi residue, livestock manure and all combustible substances)

into biomass gas through gasification, which is purified and cooled before entering the

gas-fired power generation unit. The biomass syngas power generation system consists of

a biomass gasifier and a syngas generator set.

KX series biomass gasifier produced by our company is a downdraft fluidized bed

gasifier designed and developed independently for biomass power generation. This series

of gasifier control system adopts PLC intelligent control system, fully realizing long-term

automatic work. And the dry purification technology used in gasifier avoids secondary

water pollution to natural environment. The adaptability of raw materials is strong. Only

the size of biomass raw materials is less than 30 mm and the moisture content is less than

20%. The high quality biomass gas is produced by drying, cracking, oxidation and

reduction of various biomass raw materials in gasifier. Then the biomass gas is cooled by

cooling, dust removal, tar and impurities are removed, and the treated biomass gas is

transported to the gas generating unit for power generation. In this way, the conversion of

low-value biomass energy from solid to gaseous is realized. At the same time, the

utilization efficiency of solid biomass energy has been greatly improved. The whole

system adopts modular design, which is easy to install and transport.

The 100KW biomass gas power generation system is mainly composed of a

KX-300SA biomass gasifier and a 100kW biomass gas generating unit.

3. Gasification Principle

The biomass raw material enters the reactor of gasifier and is heated and dried. Then,
with the increase of temperature, its volatile matter is precipitated and pyrolyzed
(cracked) at high temperature. The pyrolyzed gas and carbide react with the supplied air
in the oxidation zone to produce CO2 and water vapor. The heat generated by
combustion is used to maintain the endothermic reaction in the drying, pyrolysis and
reduction zone in the lower furnace. The gas produced after combustion passes through
the reduction zone and carbonization zone (C+CO2=2CO, C+HO2=H2+CO) in the
furnace body to produce synthetic gas containing CO, H2, CH4, CmHn and other
components, which is extracted from the lower part and sent out for use after removing
impurities such as tar by the purification system. Ash is discharged from the lower part of
the gasifier.

4. Biomass raw Materials

The gasification power generation system is suitable for various biomass structures
such as peanut hull, rice hull, corn cob, cotton straw, corn straw, wood chips, branches,
trees, chicken manure, pig manure, cow manure, organic municipal waste, industrial
organic waste, such as plastic, rubber, cloth, paper hull, etc*

The requirements of biomass gasifier for raw materials are as follows:

1) Size requirements of raw materials: biomass raw materials with bulk or granular

shape less than 30 mm.

2) Water content of raw materials: less than 20%.
Biomass syngas power generation system needs 1 kg-1.5 kg of raw materials for
every 1 kW of electricity production.

5. Equipment Composition

The biomass gasification power generation system mainly consists of biomass

gasifier and syngas generator unit. Biomass gasifier is composed of furnace system, dust

removal system, temperature cooling system, tar removal system, filtration system, Roots

blower, electrical control system, etc. The syngas generator set mainly consists of gas

engine, generator and control system.

◎Cooler-- In the air duct structure, the syngas passes through the inside of the air duct

and is cooled by the outside cold air through the outside of the air duct, condensing the

water and tar in the syngas

◎Tar filter--The tar filter consists of four tar removers, which are immersed in water.

◎ Tar separator-- The tar separator is dry filtered

and contains a cooling device which condenses

water vapor and tar and then enters. Centrifugal

separation was performed.

◎ Filter-- There are filter materials (activated

carbon and stainless steel vapor-liquid separation

network) inside the filter to filter water and tar.

◎Roots fan-- The main conveying power system

of biomass gasifier. Roots blower reacts with air
inhaled into gasifier as oxidant to produce syngas.
The syngas is compressed by the Roots blower and sent to the
shunt. The whole gasification system works under negative
pressure.
◎ Gas distributor- Separators include three sets of filters,
shunt valves and torches for testing syngas quality. The syngas conveyed by Roots blower is
filtered through the filter and then output by shunt.

◎Touch screen--PLC control, touch screen, simple control and operation for the

whole system

◎Video detector-- There is a video observer on the top of the gasifier. Operators can

observe the working process inside the gasifier chamber through the video observer.
