PETROCHEMICAL PLANT STRAWMAN Date: 23rd March 2021
We take this opportunity to share a business proposition of putting up a Petrochemical
Industry (Methanol Plant of Capacity 3000 MTPD) in Pakistan. This requires an approx.
100 mmcfd of Natural gas and appropriate land allocation near seaport by the
Government of Pakistan. Sea water circulation in the range of 21000 M3/Hr. These
units are designed for an upgrade and expansions hence opens future business
corridors. The commercial aspects and cost benefit analysis of such an industry is not
hidden as on average they break even the investment cost in 3-5 years, whereas the
plant is normally designed for 25 years. The current market price of Methanol is
averaging from 350 to 450 USD per metric ton.
Methanol is an important and highly profitable chemical. It has a wide range of
applications and end uses. Each of these applications and end uses can be segmented
into three major categories. The first category, which accounts for more than half of
methanol demand, is the use as a chemical feedstock that yields more product. The
second category relates to the use of methanol in fuels and accounts for more than one-
third of methanol demand. Finally, methanol is used for several fragmented
applications, such as solvents, antifreeze, wastewater denitrification and ethanol
denaturing.
Pakistan these days is well on its way to an economic upgrade and we’re closely
following progress of CPEC which will establish a road link to southern part of china and
Gwadar Port is the future! A lot of industrial and commercial growth work has already
progressed. We have close partners in Oil and Gas sector region who have the right
expertise, technology, experience and proven records of such Projects Management in
the Middle east and South America. As strategic business partner we shall oversee the
project phases progress successfully, seamlessly, effectively, profitably, and will ensure
a safe and sustainable plant operation including local talent development and trainings.
This venture will also meet PM vision of bringing foreign investments,
Technology and creating jobs and opportunities for the People of Pakistan.
Our proposal is to evaluate the feasibility. If this concept is attractive and aligned with
the government’s energy sector business plans, and the stakeholders find it a viable
option to explore then we are willing to meet up or travel to a location of your
convenience to discuss the options and details
