Pre-Lesson (Starter) :
Ask pupils what they remember from the first part of the story.
Lesson Delivery :
1. Hold up the book or stick blown-up colour photocopies of the story on the board. Tell pupils that they will listen
to the rest of the story Prince Nebi’s Ring.
2. Ask pupils to look at the pictures and guess what the story is going to be about. Elicit answers, but do not
correct pupils at this stage.
3. Ask pupils to look at the different frames and predict what is going to happen.
4. Play the CD and point to each frame in your book or on the board. Encourage pupils to point to each frame
ACTIVITIES in their books.
5. Play the CD again and ask pupils to point to each speech bubble and follow along. Check pupils’
predictions.
6. Talk about what happens in each frame.
7. Play the CD again and invite pupils to shadow read. Play the CD again, pausing after each line. Have pupils
repeat (Chorally – in groups – individually).
8. Ask pupils comprehension questions. (Assessment)
9. Divide pupils into groups of five and have them act out the story. Tell pupils to swap roles. (Assessment)
10.Have some groups perform for the whole class.
Post-Lesson (Plenary) :
Draw pupils’ attention to the value and read it aloud. Explain it and discuss it with them drawing examples from the text.
