Upload your documents in MyUM - Maastricht University

3. Upload your documents in MyUM

After you have registered for a master´s programme in Studielink, you will receive an
email from Maastricht University (UM) within 24 hours. This email contains your personal
student number and a password. You can use this information to access the MyUM
portal. This is UM's intranet, which prospective and current students use for all university-
related administration.

Follow the steps below to complete your registration

1. Go to MyUM
2. Log in with your student number and password
3. Click on the button ‘upload documents’
4. Upload the documents that are requested for your programme
5. Log out

Please note: If you accidently upload a wrong document in the MyUM portal, you can no
longer remove it from your digital file. However, you can still upload the right document,
but this does not replace the incorrect one. UM judges which documents are right.

Documents required for all programmes

For all programmes, you need to upload the following documents in the My UM portal:

A recent passport picture. The passport picture must satisfy certain requirements.

A Copy of your valid passport or identity card. Make a copy of the page with
your personal details. Save this copy as ‘passport copy’ and not as ‘passport
picture’.
A Copy of your most recent grades transcript and a copy of your diploma if
you have obtained it. If you have not graduated yet, you can upload your
official grades transcript from your bachelor programme.

Please note: as a UM student it is not necessary to upload the above mentioned

documents in My UM portal. However:

if you are a UM student and your passport will not be valid on the start date of your
study, then you still have to upload a copy of your passport.
if you are a UM student applying for the master programme in Public Policy and
Human Development, you are still required to upload your most recent grades
transcript in My UM Portal.
