Self-Awareness Tips for Adults & Students

UTS Activity # 1

The self-awareness activities that I will create to help increase self-awareness in adults
and students are:

1. Think before you act.


Think before you act is a common quote
among all ages. You should think before you
act in order to not regret of what action or
words you’re about to say or to do to a person.
By this, you are aware to yourself that what you
act will either make a person happy or mad at
you. This type of self-awareness activity can
help students and adults become more self-
aware how you understand people.

2. Observing other people.


By observing other people, you will know
what personality they have. You will know
their differences of you and to them. How they
talk to you and to the other person, how they
act, how the speak, and how they look at you.
Doing this will make you more become self-
aware of to what characteristics they differ to
you and similarities of you.

3. Write a Diary about how you feel and what’s your thoughts.

Today I feel so happy and blessed You have the self-awareness to your mental
and emotional self. Also, you will reflect to
because…………………………………… yourself how you changed and how you
handle your problems or thoughts or feelings
by reading your old diary.

4. Choose people you will get along with.


When choosing people, you know what is in their
personality or characteristics that made you like
them and what are the similarities you have to them
that you enjoy being with them. By choosing people
you want to be with, you will have the awareness of
yourself of what person are you and what particular
person you like. This will help how people see you
by the person you get along with.

5. Have yoga and meditation of yourself.


Yoga and meditation is a mind relaxing. It helps you
physically and mentally healthy. It is indeed help you
to your self-awareness since meditating helps you to
think, see and understand your feelings, thoughts or
ideas and your physical sensation.

6. Get help with your close friends and family of yourself.
Get a help or ask for a close friend or family’s
advice for you of what to do to be a better
version of yourself by asking them how you
interact or speak with people, how you walk,
how you dress and how you act. By asking
them this questions, you will have an
awareness of yourself that you are good or
bad in the way you interact etc. This will help
you change yourself to become a better
version of your self and will help you in the
way you talk and act to people. Listen to their
judgement about you and reflect it. This will help you to have a self-awareness of
yourself.

7. Be aware of your body language.


You don’t want people to get pissed off of you, of
course. So in order to do that, be mindful and be
aware of your body language of how you act and
how you do your posture when people talking with
you to have a good conversation. Make them feel
that you enjoy listening or talking to them by
correcting or having a good proper posture of your
body and by making them feel that you are
comfortable with them and they are comfortable with
you.

8. Mind your own business.


You don’t want to interrupt people with their personal life
and personal conversation etc. So why mind your own
business? People sometimes need their personal space
and don’t want some interruptions. Minding your own
business helps you mature and avoid judgement of

people. It will help you to realize and aware of yourself that some things are just too
private or too personal to make inserts.

9. Be humble and apologize.


People always made mistakes and that is normal,
but apologizing after you made a mistake is a way
of how you reflect and take responsibility of your
wrong doing actions or saying bad stuff to people.
It helps your self-awareness grow since you’re
changing yourself to become humble of your
actions and words.

10. Know your strength and weaknesses.


Knowing your strength and weaknesses are part
of self-awareness where in you know what are
the things you are capable of and your
weaknesses of the things you fear or you cannot
do. This can know and understand your self
more.You can directly focus on the things you
need to develop to when you know your strength
and weaknesses.
