REFLECTION PAPER

Our times, a movie where ane office worker named Lin Truly goes on a journey through her
memories.Flashing back 20 years to her timein high school, she riminisces about teaming up with a friend to
take down their rivals but eventually falls in love instead of eachother. The story really touched my heart and
almost made me cry but because of non of my friends cry so I didn’t.This movie inspires me a lot not only
because of the love story but becasue of the lessons that the movie brings a lot.

In first I found the movie not really intersting because I thoight that Lin was just only an
ordinary workaholic lady but as he turns back the time remembering her past back when she was a high
school in that time I became intersted and it changed all of the story.That time became interesting because
as a high school student we can relate about the story because Lin Truly at that time was also a high school
that has a crush and if we are talking about crushes and love all the teenagers and millenials can really
relate.I thought that Lin Truly and Ouyang will be together and Lin will do everything what will Taiyu says
in order to protect Ouyang but I was wrong because Taiyu was just doing it in order to get close to the girl he
loves.At first I thought that the whole story will run about the chainmail that Lin recieved but it was just only
the beginning of their love story of Hsu Taiyu and I almost cried at that part where Hsu leaved to go for
another school in America and also at that part were Lin was told by Ouyang all about the sacrifices that
Hsu did for Lin at the time that he was “bugbog” by the rival gang of his gang in order that nothing will be
done bad to his love wich is Lin.I also love the movie because of the lessons that I have learned like keeping
your promise to someone that you have promised,being happy where the the girl you love becames
happy,people do change for better not the worst,don’t judge the book by its cover,everything happends for a
reason,your past builds who you are right now,be the reason why someone smiles today,harm yourself not
her,and many more thanks to that movie.
