Obedience to Jamaat as Nasirat
The jamaat Ahmadiyya system is such that binds all young and old from cradle to grave
in a relationship of love and kindness. When a girl reaches the age of 7 she joins the Nasirat-ul-
Ahmadiyya organization. This is where we are trained to be team players and this is where the
spirit of obedience to Allah, our elders and organizers is instilled in our hearts and minds.
In Holy Quran, Allah says “It is not righteousness that you turn your faces to the East or
the West, but truly righteous is he who believes in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the
Book and the Prophets, and spends his money out of love for Him,
on the kindred and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and those who ask for charity,
and for ransoming the captives; and observes Prayer and pays the Zakat; and those who fulfill
their promise when they have made one, and the patient in poverty and afflictions and the
steadfast in the time of war; it is these who have proved truthful and it is these who
are truly God-Fearing.” (Chapter 2, Verse 178)
As Ahmedi Muslims, our purpose of life is to make relationship with Allah and this
purpose cannot be achieved without being obedient to His Jamaat. Obedience is stressed upon
greatly in Islam. In fact, the word Islam means submission and obedience. Islam stresses
obedience because
1. It provides Organization
2. It is commanded by Allah and His prophets
3. It provides discipline and orderliness.
Obedience to the Jamaat means listening to the call of Khalifa of the time and to carry out his
directives. It also means obeying the Nizam-e-Jamaat. There is a Hadith “It is binding on a
muslim to listen and carry out an order issued by his officers whether he likes or not, except
when it involves the violation of commandment of God, His prophet or of a superior officer”.
Our Nasirat pledge states “I solemnly promise that I shall always keep myself ready to
serve Islam, my nation, and my country and shall always adhere to the truth. (Insha-Allah). This
pledge gives us a perfect guideline on how we can be obedient to the Jamaat, and that is by
service to Islam and adhering to the truth. Adhering to truth means to always have faith and to be
ready to follow Islam. We can only follow Islam if we are strong in our faith, and Alhumdulillah,
our Nasirat pledge gives a perfect plan for our faith and spiritual fitness. It is sad that in this
society, people are ready to spend millions of dollars on physical fitness while ignoring spiritual
fitness, which should be the aim of our lives. We are the most fortunate people because we have
a plan to achieve the spiritual heights by being connected to the Jamaat and following the
directives of the Khalifa-tul-Masih.
By obeying the Ahmediyyat, the true Islam, we will not only improve our spiritual lives
but also set better standards for our community. It will help us become a better Muslim and a
good member of our community and thus lead a good life. The Holy Prophet (SAW) has directed
us to fulfill our promises, May Allah help us all to fulfill the terms of our pledge and Bait to the
Promised Messiah and be a true Ahmedi in our words and in deeds. (Ameen).
DUA Speech
Obedience to Nizaam e Jama`at as Naasiraat
Honored judges and my fellow Naasiraat
The topic of my speech is obedience to Nizaam e Jama`at as Naasiraat.A
good understanding of this topic is critical to peace and hormony in our
community and to our individual moral and success.I have divided my
speech into two sub-topics,Nizam e Jama`at and obedience.
1 What is Nizam e Jama`at?
Nizam e Jama`at the simply means the overall system or organization of
the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The primary purpose of this Nizam to
unite the true followers of Promised Messiah(as),Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam
Ahmad of Qadian,in a world wide brotherhood so they can:
(a)Reform themselves to real Islamic teachings
(b)Spread the message of real Islam throughout the world
(c)Serve mankind for the sake and pleasure of Allah
2 What is obedience?
Obedience means compliance,submission,agreement,duty,respect and
difference.
Therefore, after taking real bai`at,we are naturally obligated to obey the
Nizam e Jama`at.However,it is easier said than done,if obedience requires
doing something
against our own desires and expectations. In our daily lives,Obedience to
Nizam e Jama`at practically boils down to respect and obedience of a local
office holder of Nizam e Jama`at.And,if satan has his way, personal
ego, vanity and jealousy get in the way of such obedience either in the form
of a superiority complex about ones knowledge and righteousness,or a
victim mentality of some perceived unjust treatment,or some personal
differences. In such situations,a couple of hadith should be kept in mind.
Hadhrat Ans(ra) relates that the Holy Prophet(saw) said:
Hear and obey even if a Negro slave,Whose head is like a grape,is placed
in authority over you.(Bukhari)
Similarly,Hadhrat Abu Hurairah(ra) realates that the Holy Prophet(sa) said:
You are obligated to hear and obey ,in prosperity and adversity, willingly or
unwillingly,and you are treated unjustly.muslim
As Naasiraat ul Ahmadiyyia ,we all are members of this Nizam and many of
us also serve this Nizam in one capacity or another. So let us make a
promise together that we'll Obey the Nizam e Jama`at in our life.Insha`allah
