Subject: - EMPLOYMENT ON CONTRACT.

In pursuance of rule 17 (A) of the Punjab Civil Servants (Appointment and


conditions of service) rules, 1974, you are hereby appointed as Naib Qasid (BPS-01) (4800-150-
9300) on contract basis for a period of three (03) years without observance of formalities
prescribed under the rules/procedure.

1. Post Naib Qasid BPS-01 (Pay Scale 4800-150-9300)

2. Pay Package a) Package of pay and allowances as per pay scale of the
post.
b) 30% of the minimum of pay scale as social security
benefits in lieu of pension.
c) Any adhoc / special relief etc, given to the regular
Government servants shall also be admissible to the
contract employees.
d) Annual increment as per pay scale of the post.

3. Medical You will be required to appear before the competent


medical authority / board, as per direction of the
appointing authority for medical examination and on
having been declared medically fit, you will be able to join
service.
4 Period of contract Three years from the date of joining duty / assumption of
charge of the acceptance of these terms and conditions,
which-ever is earlier. The period of contract may be
extended with the approval of the competent authority.
5 Pension Appointment / service on contract basis will be non
pension able.

6 Contributory/G.P Fund a) The employer will not pay any pension or contributory
Provident Fund.
b) The employee will also not contribute General
Provident Fund.

7 Contribution towards The contract will not contribute towards group insurance
group insurance / and Benevolent Fund.

8 Leave a) Casual leave not exceeding 24 days per year will be
admissible. More than 10 days at one time shall not be
allowed.
b) Leave on medical grounds without pay will be
admissible on production of medical certificate by the
competent authority as per Punjab Medical Attendance
rules, 1959. However, if medical leave continues beyond
three months, his contract shall be liable to termination.
9 Medical facilities Medical facilities as admissible to the regular employees of
his scale under the rules.

10 Traveling Allowance/ T.A / D.A as applicable to the regular employees of his


Daily Allowance scale under the rules.

11 Transfer/Posting The contract appointment will be post specific and non


transferable. Contract appointee shall not, under any
circumstances claim any right for transfer from one post to
another.

12 No right of regular Contract appointments will not confer any right of regular
appointment appointment nor shall such appointment be regularized
under any circumstances.

13 Training The contract appointee will have to undergo essential


training programme, as may be prescribed.
14 Performance evaluation The performance of the appointee will be assessed /
evaluated on regular basis keeping in view his efficiency
and conduct as per provision of contract appointment
Policy.

15 Appointment on the basis If, at any stage, it is discovered that the person appointed
of forged / bogus on contract had obtained the appointment on the basis of
documents forged / bogus documents or through deceit by any
means, the appointment shall be considered to be void ab-
initio and he shall be liable to refund all amount received
from the Govt. as a consequent of appointment in addition
to such other action as may be taken against him under
the law.

16 Recovery of Loss caused to Recovery of any pecuniary loss caused to the employer will
the Govt. be caused to affect from the contract employees.

17 Performance of duties The employee will be liable to perform duties, in public


interest, as duties may be entrusted to him by competent
authority from time to time.
18 Interpretation of the terms The interpretation of the terms and conditions and the
and conditions decision of terms and competent authority in this behalf
will be final.

19 Termination of contract Contract appointment shall be liable to termination on


one month’s contract notice or on payment of one month
pay in lieu thereof, on either side, with out assigning any
reason.

20 Seniority You will not have any seniority and will not be placed on
the regular gradation list of the cadre in which the post for
the time being held by you is in included.

21 Married You are not married to a foreign national.

22 Residence You are a bona-fide resident of area falling in Marala


Division
UCC.

23 Join duty You will have to join duty at your own expenses.
If you accept the post of Naib Qasid on contract basis for a period of three (03)
years on the above mentioned terms and conditions, you should report to the office of the
undersigned within 15 days from the date of issuance of this letter along with medical fitness
certificate issued by the Medical Superintendent, District Headquarter Hospital Gujranwala. .
