Section 0: Introduction
Scenario
ABC Ltd, a company based in London, sells electrical products online through their website.
Adding distribution centers in Manchester and Edinburgh to its London headquarters warehouse
is part of the company's plan to develop. Other overseas markets such as Asia, Africa, and the
United States are also being considered by the company. All EU states will be included in the
company's plans to increase its online sales in 2019. They hired an Information Systems (IS)
professional who advises Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) on their IT needs.
Globalization has resulted in a higher level of competitiveness among companies. Globalization
problems must be examined through the perspective of social networking to achieve this goal.
Digital skills are important for organizations, but they also offer considerable benefits to people.
Determining the competitive advantages and other SME methods will allow you to develop
social networking strategies (Fatimah, et al., 2020).
As part of Corporate Strategy and Consultancy, BMW teams monitor trends and analyze the
changing global and business landscape in which we operate to build strategies that keep us at
the cutting edge of the company and future mobility, respectively. When faced with this
problem, BMW advises its employees in many departments on how to maximize individual
potential and develop innovative strategies that will assure and sustain a pioneering leader in the
automotive sector. To continue making sound strategic decisions, we're continuously on the
lookout for fresh ideas and creative thinkers with great analytical abilities and an instinctive eye
for seeing future trends. This may be the catalyst that helps us define not only the future paths of
the business but also the world of mobility itself through your thought leadership. Thanks to the
deep expertise of the Google Cloud Platform, they specialize in database and CMS-driven online
applications, mobile apps, and new technologies (Kukkamalla, et al., 2020). By interviewing
project managers, may help ABC ltd expand its business and develop techniques for selling
electrical products online.
PESTLE Analysis
Political Factors: Selling electrical products online was a smart move for ABC Limited. A key
worry of globalization is that social networking makes it harder to join new markets when
current vendors are powerful. Selling the items online in multiple areas is advisable in this
situation.
Economic Factors: Due to the company's scale, it may be difficult to penetrate new markets in
the United Kingdom. That's why good research and budgeting are crucial. Online selling or
digitalization, on the other hand, enables ABC ltd to accomplish expansion and growth Another
consultancy firm might help BMW enhance its marketing in new areas.
Social Factors: During this epidemic, companies favor digitization as a precaution, and rigorous
government laws must be enacted to decrease the workforce. A stronger image and reputation in
new markets may be achieved through digitization, much as BMW has done by offering online
consulting to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
Technological Factors: The firm should look towards technologically sophisticated techniques,
such as digitization. Knowing sophisticated social networking techniques is crucial for breaking
into new markets. Consultancy startups can also explore using new technologies such as online
consulting to safeguard their budget.
Legal Factors: Companies must adopt a CS strategy in which they must adhere to the norms and
regulations of new markets, which is crucial for their success. Companies that fail to implement
EU market policies may suffer serious penalties.
Environmental Factors: No environmental impact on the firm other than seasonal and weather-
related commercial concerns.
Suitable typology
Business intelligence (BI) provides a comprehensive perspective of a firm. Management
information systems (MIS) help to increase an organization's operational productivity.
Enhancing current products' value and enhancing product development as well as supporting
management in making better decisions are all advantages. If ABC Tech wants to enhance their
IT management and expand their business operations, they need to conduct extensive market
research on new markets. Management information systems would be the best choice, in this
case, to help them acquire knowledge about new markets and make choices.
Description of the organization IS functions
ABC ltd utilizes a DSS because it needs all of the information and data to make decisions and
forecast the future. Analytical and modeling abilities are also helpful.

The most appropriate model for ABC ltd and its implementation
Agile
When compared to a waterfall strategy, agile is the reverse. As opposed to major sequential
phases such as requirements gathering, design, and testing, an agile approach treats them all as
ongoing processes requiring the engagement of developers, management, and customers alike
Working in 2-4 week "sprints" allows responsible teams to focus on their customers' most
pressing issues while also testing as they go. Agile tends to perform effectively in small
companies, especially startups, where speed and flexibility are crucial. A flexible project plan is
executed by creating small sections of a project at the same time. An entire team of designers and
product managers may now work together to build solutions that will benefit all parties involved
in the project (Fatimah, et al., 2020).
CRM: For ABC Limited, customer relationship management (CRM) solutions were developed
in response to a need to improve the productivity of the sales department. For example, ABC ltd
learns more about its customers' needs and buying habits using CRM services such as sales
opportunity management and then combines that information with market data to enhance its
sales forecasting.
SCM: People, activities, equipment, data as well as other resources are grouped in a supply
chain to create or convey a product from one supplier to another vendor. Management of the
supply chain activities to provide ABC Ltd a strategic advantage is known as Supply Chain
Management (SCM) (Tarigan, et al., 2019).
ERP: Purchasing, finance, human capital, and inventory control are just a few of the software
programs that are connected to the ERP system at ABC Ltd. Software modules such as
purchasing and quality assurance interact and share data in an ERP system. There are several
applications in each module that work together to accomplish the end-to-end business activities
for each module. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software assists with a variety of
operational and administrative tasks (Luo, et al., 2019).
Five variables make up the five-component framework, which consists of the five key
advantages of an information system. To get the system up and running, first need the necessary
components. Then, to run the devices, the company needs to make use of the appropriate
software (Al Shobaki, 2016). To save the data accurately in the system, protocols must be put in
place, and personnel must be hired to input the data and keep the system operational at all times.
Each component is required to construct a completely functional functioning information system.

Organization’s Practices for IR.4.0
IR.40 refers to interconnectivity and the adoption of automation to replace manual labor.
Businesses become more flexible and agile thanks to this new technology. With IR.40, a
company may deploy new equipment fast in response to client demand at a reasonable price. As
a result, the firm has to undergo a digital transformation. To increase their media presence, they
need to provide interesting material on social media platforms (Abu-Naser, 2016).
