Philippines is nowadays independent, a democracy. with freedom of speech, press,
assembly, religion, and weren't allowed to do anything without the approval of the Spanish
Government. While nowadays, Filipinos can do whatever they want because Spanish are no
longer colonizing our country which is the Philippines of course it is better than it was
under the Spanish occupation. But of course no democracy is perfect, all have flaws but at
least now we were able to elect a leader of our choice and create our own laws to govern the
country.
