Basic Cockpit Colors: Tutorial Tutorial

This document provides guidelines for achieving a basic color scheme for the interior of an aircraft cockpit. It begins with applying a general base color of white, then using black paint diluted with thinner and masking tape to outline structures and add shading to corners. Subsequent steps involve outlining areas in white and adding random white scratches, before applying a base gray color and highlighting details. Small scratches and rivets are simulated using black and gray paints, resulting in a worn interior cockpit appearance.

Basic Cockpit Colors

Each aircraft model has a particular color scheme for the interior of the
cockpit which varies according to the air force, type of aircraft and the
period of operations. This guide shows some general guidelines for
achieving a basic color with many variations of shade due to the effects
of wear and erosion caused by operational use.
