MECHANICS FOR TIKTOK CHALLENGE
1. The contestant must be officially enrolled at SCSC S.Y 2021-2022
2. Entries can be solo, duo or group (minimum of 3 maximum of 5 persons) NOTE: for group
videos, Social Distancing should and must be observed
3. The content must be related to your course (e.g.: Agriculture or hospitality management)
4. School spirit gear is encouraged
5. Videos cannot exceed the 60 second limit
6. The video should be in a Portrait Orientation. Using of texts and props are allowed
7. of the Statement of Non-Discrimination .
8. If filming indoors: in order to meet and abide by University COVID-19 policies, participants
must be wearing masks and appropriately social distancing. If alone, participants do not
need to wear a mask.
a. Please keep in mind that judges and viewers are not aware of who may/may not be
living together, so it’s suggested that ALL participants follow this policy.
9. If filming outdoors: in order to meet and abide by University COVID-19 policies, participants
are not required to wear masks, but are required to abide by a minimum of 6ft. social
distancing.

• Each TikTok will be evaluated by the Judging Committee and the top TikToks will be posted on

DANCE ( CONTEMPORARY AND MODERN DANCE )
Please submit your video in as high quality as possible, in MP4, MOV, AVI, FLV, or WMV formats. We
also encourage all competitors to submit videos that are filmed horizontally, or “landscape”, instead of a
vertical fashion if you are filming with your phone.
Time limits and restrictions:
All performances are limited to 2 minutes. Any video or performance that exceeds 2 minutes will be
manually faded out (a few seconds over 2 is fine if you are transitioning out of frame/music)
All songs must be censored to a radio edit “clean” rating. Failure to do so will result in disqualification
from the competition.
We will NOT be accepting video submissions through other file sharing services or social media unless
notified in advance – please email us in advance if you need accommodation.
Rules
Minimum of two to 5 members in a group
This is a dance competition – all forms of costume will be eligible.
Only ORIGINAL dance routines and choreography may be used – we will not tolerate plagiarism. An
intentional or blatant copy of a pre-existing choreography, with proof, will result in an instant revocation
of any awards given,
Props: allowed to be used.
Malicious, lewd, or profane content or behaviour in any part of a performer’s dance is not allowed
under any circumstances.
Competition Format
Competition Style: Competitors must dance in the costume they have signed up with, to the song of
their choice. There is no preference between choreography or freestyle – you have full creative freedom
to submit a rehearsed or a freestyle dance. Make it look good, and make it work with the music. Your
dance should be limited to a maximum of 2 minutes.
Judging: Judges will approve a certain number the competitors for the final livestream showcase.
Factors in decision-making can include, but are not limited to:
Unique moves and variety
Quality of dance and execution
Degree of difficulty
Showmanship / crowd appeal
Finalists Showcase Livestream
Submissions that pass through to the finals will be included in a livestream performance complete with
live judging and reactions. After each finalist video, one judge will provide their commentary about the
performance. Once all the finalists video submissions are shown, the judges will tally up the scores given
to each finalist and announce the Top Three winners on the spot.
Judging: Judges will be asked to rank all acts using the following categories, with a maximum score of 10
for each:
Execution: How clean and polished do your moves look?
Originality: How unique is your dance, does it look fresh and non-repetitive?
Musicality: How well does your dance match the music selection?
Dynamics: How dynamic and/or exciting is your dance?
Showmanship: How does your dance appeal to the audience/judges?
In the event of a tiebreaker, individual judges’ marks will be considered to break the tie, where the
finalist with the highest individual judge score will supercede the other.

poken poetry Contest Mechanics/ Guidelines
1. Spoken poetry is a performance art that is word based. It is a writing that meant to be spoken or
delivered with emotions an audience. It is an oral art that focuses on the aesthetics of world play,
rhythm, and provisions, rhyme, intonation and voice inflection.
2. The contest is open to all youth’s ages 15-30 years old of Barangay Agusan.
3. The spoken poetry must be an original composition. It could be written in English, Filipino or
Bisaya. (The use of Taglish is not allowed)
4. Three (3) printed copies of the spoken poetry must be submitted to the organizers one hour
before the contest proper.
5. The piece must be related with the theme “Safe Spaces for the Youths” but not limited to the
following: ( The right to be heard, Respect, Confidentiality, Caring Culture, Equity and Inclusion:
Understanding Them, Understanding Themselves, Understanding Others)
6. Each contestants is given a maximum of 3-5 minutes to recite or deliver his/her piece. No
deduction shall be made if the contestants finishes the delivery in less than the maximum time
frame.
7. The spoken poetry must delivered from memory and any movement is confined on stage.
8. Attire appropriate for the spoken piece shall be worn during the contest.
9. Sounds, instrumental or musical background are allowed to compliment the delivery. No
deduction shall be made if the contestant opts not to have a musical background.
10. Prizes at stake. The first, second and third places shall receive a certificate of recognition, and a
cash prize. Certificates for participation shall be given to all contestants and their coaches.

12. The contestants will be judged using the following criteria:
1. Content- 20%
• The content of the spoken piece is relevant and related to the theme “Safe Spaces for the Youths”
• The piece shall have a powerful and meaningful message to the audience.
2. Delivery and Performance- 20%
• The spoken piece was delivered from the heart.
• Facial expressions, hand and body gestures emphasized the different elements of the
performance.
• Voice is modulated, compelling and phrasing is fluent.
• Spoke loudly and clearly enough for listeners to hear and understand.
• Voice project confidence and conviction.
3. Convincing Aura- 10%
• Eye contact pulled the audience to the message of the spoken words.
• Audience attention and interest were captured and sustained throughout the delivery.
• Enunciation is clear. Audience can understand what is being spoken.
• Words are pronounced distinctly and correctly. Does not stutter nor stammer.
• Pronunciation and intonation sound natural.
4. Originality- 30%
• Must be originally composed or written by the participants.
• The piece was effectively recited from memory
• Freestyle or improvising was spontaneous even if a word or line was forgotten.
5. Attire- 10%
• Attire compliments contestant’s spoken piece.
6. Audience- 10%
• Connection to the audience was established from the heart.

NOTE: DUE TO LIMITED TIME FOR SPOKEN POETRY CONTEST, ACCEPTANCE OF
CONTESTANTS WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. THE NUMBER OF
CONTESTANS SHALL BE LIMITED TO TWELVE (12).
