SECTION TEN : BLESSED IN CHRIST
92. GIVEN AN INHERITANCE
We now bring our attention to the wonderful blessings that are ours in Christ. While we
have already mentioned many in earlier sections, we list some additional blessings that
are ours in Christ, in this section
Ephesians 1:11,12
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the
purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
Inheritance = to give to another as a possession, heritage.
God gave us this inheritance so that praises may be given to Him because of us.
When we were saved, we were also brought into an inheritance. "To open their eyes, in
order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they
may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by
faith in Me" (Acts 26:18).
We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. A heirs of God we have an inheritance
given to us from God. As joint-heirs, we share in all that the Father gave to His Son Jesus
Christ, when He walked as the Son of God. "And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and
joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified
together" (Romans 8:17).
Here are different things we can list as our “inheritance”—the good things of God, the
abundance of His grace and wisdom given to us in Christ.
93. QUALIFIED TO ENJOY THE INHERITANCE
Colossians 1:12
Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of
the saints in the light.

God has qualified each one of us to partake and enjoy the inheritance He has given to
us. We do not need to do anything more to qualify. It is our already. We are qualified to
enjoy our share of the inheritance.
Acts 20:32
So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able
to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
We need a revelation of God's Word to learn how to walk in the inheritance that is ours.
As the apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians "the eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of
the glory of His inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:18). We need to receive a
revelation of the glorious inheritance we have and learn how to walk in it.
94. REIGNING IN LIFE
Romans 5:17
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who
receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through
the One, Jesus Christ.)
We have considered this briefly in an earlier section.
Adam, through his disobedience brought all of us in subjection to sin, satan and death,
and everything that comes because of that including sickness, pain, etc. However, the
Lord Jesus through what He did, brought us out from being in subjection to these, and
set us in dominion over these: sin, sickness, satan and death. We now rule and reign,
exercise mastery and dominion over these, in Christ.
Yes, it is true that we will die physically. Yet we know that Christ will raise us up with
glorified bodies.
95. BLESSED WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING
Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every
spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing, every blessing that comes from God,
who is Spirit. Every blessing that God gives, has already been given to us in the spiritual
realm. This is ours.
We must believe this and then by faith expect to see these blessings manifest in our
everyday natural life. Faith moves these blessings from the spiritual realm into the
natural realm. It is through the hand of faith that we bring into this realm, what has
already been given to us in the spiritual realm.
Have an attitude of blessedness as you go about your daily life. In every situation, see
yourself as a person who has been blessed by God. Always remind yourself that your
present situation is no indication of your final destination.
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of
lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Psalm 103:1–6
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and
tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the
eagle’s.
6 The LORD executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.
Romans 8:32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with
Him also freely give us all things?
Luke 12:32
Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
96. ENRICHED IN EVERYTHING BY HIM
1 Corinthians 1:5–7
5 That you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,
6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you,

7 so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus
Christ,
Recognize your potential in God.
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but
our sufficiency is from God.
97. ALWAYS TRIUMPHANT IN CHRIST
2 Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us
diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
In every situation, you are confident that God is on your side, and He will bring you out
the winner. God will always cause you to triumph. Victory is yours if you refuse to quit.
1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and
have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
98. BORN TO OVERCOME - ALWAYS
1 John 5:1,4
1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him
who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has
overcome the world—our faith.
1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
99. THE PROMISE OF LIFE
2 Timothy 1:1
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which
is in Christ Jesus.

1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we
may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is
the true God and eternal life.
To know Him and to be in Him is eternal life.
100. SEALED WITH THE SPIRIT
Ephesians 1:13,14
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of
promise,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased
possession, to the praise of His glory.
Sealed sphragizo (Gr.) = to stamp (with a signet or private mark) for security or
preservation.
Guarantee arrhabo (Gr.) = a pledge, that is, part of the purchase money or property
given in advance as security for the rest, earnest.
101. PRESERVED IN CHRIST
Jude 1:1
Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called,
sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ.
We are called and preserved in Christ Jesus.
Preserve = to attend to carefully, take care of, to guard, metaphorically to keep, one in
the state in which he is.
102. ESTABLISHED IN HIM
2 Corinthians 1:21
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God.

Establish = make firm, confirm, stabilize.
103. PART OF AN ETERNAL PURPOSE
Ephesians 3:11
According to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2 Timothy 1:9
Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before
time began.
Philippians 3:14
I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
104. THE WISDOM OF GOD
1 Corinthians 1:30
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and
righteousness and sanctification and redemption.
Colossians 2:3
In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
105. COMPLETE IN HIM WITH HIS FULLNESS
Colossians 1:19
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell.
Colossians 2:9,10
9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Fullness pleroma (Gr.) = repletion or completion, that is, what fills (as contents,
supplement, copiousness, multitude), that which is put in to fill up.

Complete pleroo (Gr.) = to make replete, that is, to cram up, level up, to furnish (or
imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, fill up.
John 1:16
And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
We are complete (filled up) in Christ.
The fullness of the Godhead that is in Christ is what completes us and fills us up.
This means that what comes from God is imparted to the believer. His righteousness,
His holiness, His wisdom, etc.
This means that what is in Him is in us as believers.
Ephesians 3:14–19
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with
might through His Spirit in the inner man,
17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and
grounded in love,
18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and
depth and height—
19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all
the fullness of God.
Ephesians 4:13
Till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a
perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
The “fullness of God” that is in Christ is what is to be in us and manifested in us.
The “fullness of God” and the “fullness of Christ” are synonymous in Ephesians. The
manifestation of the “fullness of Christ” is the life of Christ as He walked on the Earth.
106. YES TO ALL PROMISES
2 Corinthians 1:19,20
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me,
Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes.

20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God
through us.
We have a right to see a fulfillment of all the promises of God so that God can be
glorified through us.
107. SPIRITUAL REVELATION
2 Corinthians 3:14
But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the
reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
We have spiritual revelation of truth. Our eyes are now opened. The veil has been
removed. What was obscure is now made clear. The Old Testament prophecies are so
completely understood and seen fulfilled in Him.
Ephesians 1:18
Colossians 1:9-12
108. SIMPLICITY IN CHRIST
2 Corinthians 11:3
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds
may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Simplicity haplotes (Gr.) = singleness, simplicity, sincerity, mental honesty.
= the virtue of one who is free from pretense and hypocrisy.
= not self-seeking, openness of heart manifesting itself by generosity.
1 Timothy 1:14
And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in
Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:13
Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love
which are in Christ Jesus.
Life in Christ is simple. We simply walk in the faith and love that is in Christ.

109. THE BLESSINGS OF ABRAHAM
Galatians 3:16,17,29
16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to
seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot
annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the
promise of no effect.
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise.
The blessings that were promised to Abraham as part of the ‘Abrahamic’ covenant is
ours today.
• Blessing in all things—in all areas of life (Genesis 12:1¬–3; Genesis 24:1,35;
Deuteronomy 8:18).
• Blessed to be a blessing to the nations (Genesis 12:1–3).
• Righteousness by faith (Romans 4:3).
• Friendship with God (James 2:23).
• Victory over enemies (Genesis 22:16,17).
110. ENABLING GRACE
2 Timothy 2:1
You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
111. PROMISE OF THE RESURRECTION
1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
