A guest lecture was organised on 23rd March , 2022
in the University auditorium on the topic “ Job

students of the commerce department from first to
third year students were a part of this lecture.
The event started with fecilitation of the guest
speakers which included : Tomio Isogai(freelance
advisor to Indo-Japan relations, ex managing
director of SHARP India Limited). Thereafter, the
participants were espoused by Mrs. Ankita Sangle
she acquainted us with the objectives and goals of
the workshop in brief. Mr. Isogai had prepared an
elaborate Power point presentation in regard to the
above topic and the sub topics that were covered
were as follows : Career opportunities, different
perspective and commoness, Industry 4.0, India and
Japan strongest partners .So he started the
discussion with introducing himself . Mr Isogai was
just a BA graduate before joining SHARP and he had
no experience of the business field but he made up
his mind and gave his all and started learning
through experience about his work and ended up
serving the company for 37 years straight and
headed different projects in different
countries .Learning can be done effectively only
through experience and he also quoted “Learning
doesn’t happen without experience and just
sitting at one place , you need to go out.”His
last 2 projects were in India before retiring and
he also announced that India was just like his
second home .
Then he listed out the advantages of choosing Japan
, starting with : Japan’s location , it is a
country quiet close to India and an individual does
not have to take long duration flights in order to
reach there .He then estimated the population of
both the countries from the year 2020 to the year
2050 and beautifully represented it using graphs .
And the year 2050 graph for India resulted in
growth of the youth ( population increase from
1,380 million to 1,639 million) whereas, the
population of Japan will decline by 2050 especially
the youth in thier country . Therefore, this is
also one of the reasons where manpower is required
in Japan. He also spoke about how Japan is a land of
diversity and that every culture, religion is
equally respected. There are a lot of similarities
between India and Japan regarding religion and
their values .
The exisistence of industry 4.0 ,“Industry 4.0”
refers to the combination of several major
technology innovations, all maturing at the same
time that is expected to significantly shift the
landscape of the manufacturing industry.
These technologies – advanced robotics, artificial
intelligence, sophisticated sensors, cloud
computing and big data analytics – all exist in
manufacturing today in some form, but as they
integrate with one another, the physical and
virtualworlds will interlink and transform the
industry.
The emergence of industry 5.0 as well as society
5.0 which will focus on the the sustainable
development goal Japan aims to become the first
country in the world
to achieve a human-centered society (Society 5.0)
in which anyone can enjoy a high quality of life
full of vigor. It intends to accomplish this by
incorporating advanced technologies in diverse
industries and social activities and fostering
innovation to create new value.Examples of new
values are introduced. Mobility , Healthcare and
caregiving , Manufacturing , Agriculture ,
Food,Disaster Prevention, Energys and also serve
the coming generation wisely. He also pointed out
the defeciet of software engineers in Japan , but

impressive . The highest earning reaches upto 38
lakhs per annum.

mentioned about the proof of strong bonding by
giving the example of our Minister of external
affairs Dr Jaishankar who is married to a Japenese
lady , Mrs Koyoko.
Lastly, he gave a great advice on surviving in this
world . To survive one must posess a vision,
understanding , courage and adaptability . The
courage to follow your passion and do the right
thing. And , focus on being the three smart
monkeys(Speak out, listen up, see it all) as
opposed to the three wise monkeys .
He successfully delivered all the points with clear
understanding and it was a very knowledge gaining
as well as resourceful lecture.A great job was done
