Praxis Core Exam Analysis

My essay will give a brief explanation of the requirements needed for the Praxis Core

Exam, How I can prepare for the exam, what my results are, and how I can prepare for the future

exam preparation, to pass.

The reason that I want to pass the Praxis Core exam is because I want to be accepted into

the university of UNLV to obtain my Teacher Licensure so I can start teaching officially in the

state of Nevada. Then afterwards I can receive my own passing grade scores from the Praxis core

Exam in Nevada which includes Math, reading and Writing. The passing score needed is 150 on

Mathematics, 156 on reading and 162 on writing.

In Exam Preparation, I tried to prepare for the Praxis core exam and made sure to review

each section as needed and provided from the ETS website from Praxis Core Exam by using prep

websites. But if I prepared more, then I could have gotten a much better score on my exam.

Other ways I prepared was by giving myself time by using flash cards to help me study so I

knew what could be on the Praxis Core exam. But also due to the amount of assignments and

other exams that were from my other classes. I could not have enough time as needed since I felt

like I was being a little rushed. But once I did the Praxis Core exam, I took more time to myself

to work on the exam and recheck the questions I submitted. Despite scoring the best I could, with

all the effort I could, to do decent on my exam.

My exam results as explained in my math section from the exam I scored about 23%

which means I need a more significant improvement on my Praxis Core Exam. So, more

studying will be required so I can officially pass the praxis core exam as I tend to struggle a lot

on math as one of my main subjects I am currently having as one of my classes this semester.

Next on my reading exam I got about a 21% which means I will need to clearly improve more on

my reading and try to focus more on the details as needed. So, focusing more on the reading

section of the exam will need better preparation so I can do better on the praxis core exam. The

last exam is the writing section and I scored about 35% which might not be too high but a

slightly better score of improvement compared to my other scores on the other Praxis Core exam

subjects. I believe if I work harder on my writing exam, my score could improve much better on

the official Praxis Core Exam.

If I want to improve better later on in the future, a lot of practice and studying will be

required so I can pass the exam. But I plan to purchase a study book to prepare myself for the

official Praxis Core Exam as needed. And I am not sure if I need a tutor to prepare for the exam,

but I will use the free Praxis Prep websites provided to give me the opportunity to study and

learn for the exam as a form of preparation. Other preparations I could use on the exam are flash

cards, note taking and reviewing a book to help me study in relation to the Praxis Core Exam.

Therefore, everything as explained in my essay gives an explanation as to why I want to

pass the exam and my reasoning on how to prepare for the Official Praxis Core Exam as said in

my essay as well as improvements needed to pass the exam.
