Q.Write in about 120-150 a debate agreeing with the topie 'Sehool uniforms should
not be abolished'.
Answer:
Respected judges and teachers. Address to the listeners
Today, I stand before you to express my views for the motion of the given Opening
topic for debate. I believe that the uniform is an essential part ofschool lines
education
Uniforms put children in a serious and consistent mental atmosphere. The
formal set up of education gains importance through uniforms. Uniforms
create a sense of discipline in the class. It breaks the wall of disparity that
exists between students of different caste, status, religion, etc. Students who Body
; cannot afford to wear new clothes every day do not have to suffer from
inferiority complex. The sense of secularity
brings peace, harmony and
equality among students. Also, if students wear uniforms, it would distinguish
them from strangers or intruders in the school.

In my opinion, uniformm is a symbol of keeping each student at the same place
without any sense of impartiality. It is one of the most essential parts of a +Conclusion
school.
Thank you for listening to my views patiently. Closing

3. JOINT FAMILY IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE WAY OF LIFE
For the Motion
Respected chairperson, honourable judges, members of staff and friends!
I, Rohit, stand before you to speak for the motion on Joint Family is the moet
appropriate way of life' in the context of our old-age culture. You know that our cultur
lays much emphasis on human values of love, affection, pity, mercy, sympathy, helo
compassion etc. Then human life and survival are the most important aspects oflife
Such a way of life is possible only in a joint family. In a joint family, the eldest member
has all the worries of caretake of his entire family. In return he is
respected and is
honourable for all. Children and women are paid due attention as they are the
the family lineage. Duties are shared as the joint family becomes a
future of
division of labour. The weak and the old are equally looked
fine example of the
after. Thus the joint family
becomes the most desirable way of life in which members
all. Cooperation,
progress and are helped by
sharing of work, taking care of the children, the weak and the elderly
are its important
aspects. The old don't become victims of negligence as they become in
a nuclear family.
Thank you all.
Against the Motion
espected chairperson, honourable judges, members of the staff and dear students
, Anil, stand before you to speak against the motion on Joint family is the most
appropriate way of life. My dear friend has stated the desirability of this system as the
ost appropriate way oflife. I would say that in a joint family systemchildren, women
and the
in a
old, as he has said, are never taken care of. But they are more neglected. In fact
nuclear family the children's individual qualities are noticed and then these are
sharpened later. Then the parents take personal interest in their children's education,
health and propermoral, mental and physical growth. Expenses get limited to a single
family of four members. But it is not so in a joint family system. I would like to say that
a joint family becomes a kind of crowd and no personal attention is paid to the members
ifthey havethe signs of progressing in life. Thus I personally feel that in today's fast
ife a joint family harms the progress of the children and old people are generally
neglected. On the other hand, they are taken care of more in a nuclear family.
Thank you very much.
