This template makes it possible to use Word to make documents resembling
those created using Latex.
You can delete all the contents of this document and make your own. It just con-
tains a bit of info about the template.
2 Settings
2.1 Fonts
The template needs these fonts: (Installed by WordMat)
Latin Modern OTF
Latin Modern Math
Both can be located here:
http://www.gust.org.pl/projects/e-foundry/latin-modern/index_html
When these are installed you can choose
LM Roman 12 from the fonts-dropdown.
The easiest way to install fonts is to right click the font file and choose install.
On Mac: double the font-file and press install lower right corner
2.2 Bibliography
To create a bibliogaphy like in Latex, you need a custom Bibliography. (In-
stalled by WordMat).
To manually install do the following:
Download BibWord (www.bibword.codeplex.com) place in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\Bibliography\Style.
You can now choose IEEE(2006) under References|Quotes og bibliography|
Style
3 Start
Copy the template file to the following folder (WordMat does this):
C:\Users\xxx\Documents\custom office template
(Folder is language specific)
When a new Word-document is opened you can choose the template under
personal. If you cannot, then you need to set the registry:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Options,PersonalTemplates to
the right path
3.1 Styles
In the template there are styles corresponding to Latex equivalents
Title, Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3, list-section
They are all adapted to Latex-style.
They make sure you are using font LM Roman 12 in correct size. Heading 1
and 2 also adds numbers.
List section uses a spacing of 1.15 and adds spacing before and after the list.
