The Metro Board of Directors meets Thursday, May 26, at 10 a.m. for their May meeting.

The meeting –
as has been case since March 2020 – will be held virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The agenda is embedded above. Go to this link to download the agenda along with a list of all the items
and links to accompanying staff reports and presentations.

The meeting will be livestreamed; you can listen and/or watch at the above map. The livestream will
also be archived and available for viewing a few days after the meeting.

Live public comment can only be given by telephone.

The Board Meeting begins at 10:00 AM Pacific Time on May 26, 2022; you may join the call 5
minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

Public comment will be taken as the Board takes up each item. To give public
comment on an item, enter #2 (pound-two) when prompted. Please note that the live
video feed lags about 30 seconds behind the actual meeting. There is no lag on the

Some notable items the Board is scheduled to consider at the meeting:

--The Board will consider Metro’s proposed $8.8-billion budget for fiscal year 2023, which runs from this
July 1 through June 30, 2023. Staff report and Source post on general budget highlights.

--The Board will consider formally adopting the no build option for an earlier version of the South 710
project, thus helping Metro, Caltrans and stakeholders to continue to move forward with a new vision
for the project that is more equitable, sustainable and multimodal. Staff report and Source post. There
is also an accompanying Board motion that sets of goal of using $1.09 billion in local funds to secure $5
billion in state and federal grants for the project.
--The Board will consider approving a funding agreement with the California State High Speed Rail
Authority for a $423-million grant to help fund Phase A of the Link Union Station project to make a
series of improvements at our region’s busiest transit hub. Phase A will build a bridge over the 101
freeway that would allow Metrolink and Amtrak trains to enter and exit the station from both directions
– which would help speed up regional rail travel. Staff report
