In order to enable electricity to flow freely from the ground to the device, optimal contact should be ensured between
the earthing rod and soil (dry soil is a poor electricity conductor). The earthing rod (which must be galvanised) should

Electrifiable Nets

Devices with power supplies (230 V) have an unlimited protection duration. These are available in all necessary power

energy is supplied to the fence.

12 Volt battery chargers are the ideal solution for long fences or fences with considerable amounts of vegetation in the

system works:

When an animal touches the

conductor (tape, polywire or rope)
the electric circuit closes and a
shock is delivered to the animal.
This is completely harmless for the
animal, but in future the animal
will respect the electric fence.

Electric Fencer:
By giving off intermittent pulses the fence unit is the heart of the electric fencing system.It is decisive to chose the right fencer by considering the voltage on resis-
tance. In general a resistance of 500 Ohms is taken as basis, because this is the resistance on the fence during animal contact. According to VDE standards the voltage
must not be below 2,500 volts, as otherwise the functioning of the electric fence system will be reduced (for thick-coated animals we recommend a minimum voltage
of 4,000 volts).

The new mains-powered and battery devices by EURO-GUARD therefore include a visual warning signal, which is activated when voltage falls below 2,500 volts,
ensuring optimum protection and safety. In contrast, the often-specified open circuit voltage only has a minor influence. Another important consideration in selecting
a device is what is known as pulse energy, which indicates the actual output power as opposed to the charging energy (energy in the device).

For precise technical details of our Euro Guard fence units please consult the tables on pages 3 to 10. Among others these tables recommend the fence lengths for
each unit. Please note that the fence length indicated according VDE standards is only a theoretical value, which in practice is never accomplished due to various
factors (e.g. vegetation growth on fence).

In case mains is available nearby, always choose a mains energizer because a permanent power supply guarantees perfect tending safety. If there is no power connec-
tion, for longer fences and you want to contain animals hard to tend or to repel (e.g. wild boars), we recommend the use of a 12-Volt rechargeable battery or a solar
panel powered fence unit. For shorter fence lines and easy-to-tend animals, however, a 9 V battery powered unit is sufficient.

Conductors:
Conducturs (stainless steel or copper wires) transport electric current! The conductors available are: Tapes, ropes, polywiresand wires. Furthermore you can choose
between three differentquality levels: Star, Profi, Classic and Basic.

Insulators:
Please always make sure that all insulators are in perfect condition. Weather-related abrasion and chafe marks reduce the insulati-on. In case of discharges there is no
more tending safety. Therefore always check the mounted insulators for perfect functioning and have all damaged insulators replaced. Always make sure to use the
right insulators for each purpose.

Grounding:
Highly important but in practice often badly neglected. When an animal touches the conductor the circuit closes – but only if the current going through the animal
into the ground returns to the unit. Please note that for all the various units there has to be a special grounding. For mains and rechargeable battery units two to three
ground rods have to be used. In addition the consi-stency of the soil plays an important part on choosing the right kind and amount of ground rods. There is a higher
resistance in dry soils than in moist ones and therefore there has to be a stronger grounding.

 9 V Battery Energizers
Portable, compact - technology you can believe in!
The 9 volt, dry battery units distinguish themselves from all others by the highest
mobility and long operating life. They are excellent for shorter runs of fence with little
vegetation, when there is no mains available. Alternatively they can also operate with
12 V rechargeable wet batteries.

GSM Alarm with Remote Switch
Alarm function:
The new GSM Alarm now also allows you to easily monitor your remote fence systems. If the minimum
tending voltage falls below a certain level (you can set this individually) or fails completely, the GSM Alarm
sends a corresponding message via SMS to your mobile phone. The measured fence voltage, the pulse
cycle, the current battery voltage of the GSM Alarm's supply battery and also of its internal system battery
are notified to you via SMS. Additional alarm devices (combined signal generator, Art. No. 441035) can
also optionally be connected via cables to the relay contact on the GSM Alarm. The GSM Alarm works
with most commercially available electric fence units.
It is possible at any time to request a status report from the GSM-Alarm via SMS.
The GSM alarm is operated either via the same battery (9 V or 12 V) as the electric fence unit or indepen-
dently via a separate 9 V or 12 V battery (especially if the GSM-Alarm is not positioned directly on the
electric fence unit). There must be a mobile telephone network connection at the site of the GSM-Alarm.
The SIM card required is not included.

You can also switch any 9 or 12 V electric fence unit on or off if it is connected to the GSM-Alarm. In

the electrified protection netting against wolves, is an effective solution for herd protection.

The proven vertical struts of the TitanNet series provides stability even on hilly and uneven
ground. A jump-proof netting variant that is heightened by 30 cm via an integrated caution
tape ensures a high level of pasture safety. The non-electrified ground strand prevents the
wolf's natural behaviour for digging. The proven posts from our Sheep Netting line ensure fast
and easy setup.
