AREA SUPERVISOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
With five (5) Enumerator under his/her direction, s/he will be reporting directly to the Area
Coordinator and shall perform the following;
• Provide technical, administrative and logistical support to the Enumerator in the performance of
their function;
• Prepare the deployment plan of area of assignment;
• Collect, review and provide immediate assessments of the accomplished Household Assessment
Forms (HAFs) to ensure the accuracy and legibility of data entries;
• Oversee the conduct of household assessment and conduct spot checks to ensure areas are
covered by the Enumerators and provide technical support to ensure that the enumerators
completely cover their assigned areas;
• Provide periodic feedback on the developments of the household assessment;
• Coordinate with the municipal validation group for actions regarding on-demand applications for
initial assessment of household poverty status;
• Coordinate with the local government units and enlist their assistance in securing copies of
barangay spot maps clearly indicating physical boundaries of the areas to be covered by the survey;
• Fill up the Barangay Community Characteristics Form;
• Prepare a weekly report consolidating the accomplishments of the enumerators under his/her
charge/supervision. The report will contain/include such information as number of households
interviewed, names of households who refused to be interviewed, and problems encountered in the
conduct of survey as well as actions taken/recommendations; and
• Maintain confidentiality of documents and information generated by the NHTS-PR.
Primary Functions :
Reviews, validates and provides inputs on the proposed activities of the Community Organizers;
Monitors and follows-up with community organizers on status of deliverables and action points
committed by way of group meeting, one-
on-one session and documents tracking system;
Facilitates area meetings to discuss operational issues and concerns and to agree on action
points to address issues;
Reviews feedback reports and accomplishment reports of Community Organizers to check for
accuracy and completeness
Consolidates periodic and special reports prepared by Area Supervisors for the project and for
submission to the Project Coordinator;
Establish and maintain networks and linkages with stakeholders through meetings and
consultations;
Assists in the management of activities specifically along monitoring, evaluating and reporting
activities to secure the target results of the project at the field level;
Conduct of monitoring activities to ensure the attainment of objectives and targets of the project;
Documents process and implementation of the projects and submit to the Project Coordinator;
Together with the Community Organizers, assists in actual disbursement of financial assistance
to household beneficiaries;
Checks and evaluates the resource requirements of the Area pertaining but not limited to
personnel, materials and logistics, follows-
up with the concerned offices and deploys accordingly;
Acts as resource person in staff and stakeholder training and development activities;
Conduct supervisory meetings to Community Organizers;
Conducts performance evaluation of the Community Organizers;
Perform other related tasks as maybe assigned by the Project Coordinator.
