   AirAsia Berhad is one of the lowest cost airlines and has won awards in Asia due to its
fast -growing company since 2001. With a total of 72 aircraft, AirAsia has flown to more
than 61 domestic and international destinations with a total of 108 routes. In addition,
AirAsia also operates 400 flights from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia daily. For AirAsia
Berhad, they believe that low-cost and independent business requires high efficiency in every
part of the business. As such, AirAsia has sparked an on-air revolution in tourism with so
many choosing AirAsia as their transportation option by following the corporate philosophy
of ‘Now Everyone Can Fly’.
   Human resources are the most important assets because it is responsible for hiring,
evaluating, and compensating the employees. In AirAsia, one of the important of human
resource management is human resource planning. It was being called as Human Resource
Management Information System (HRMIS). In HRMIS, there will be the consultation about
the human resource planning within the top management to get the resources that was
planned by the employee from the Human Resource Department. For AirAsia Berhad,
HRMIS is the system that prioritizes the needs of the human resource planning system.
   In AirAsia Berhad, the information system is involving the using of computer simulation
of the work force model to makes sure that the technique that was used for simulation to
evaluate the alternative of the human resource plans. For example, the recruitment and
retraining, transferring, the feasibility for the projects and others various approaches to
human resource management. Apart from that, human resource planning for AirAsia Berhad
was governed by the demand and the future of the human resource requirements for the
organization and the technique of forecasting for the supply to determine the current.
However, the human resource planning for AirAsia also help and organization in to moves
form the current position of the manpower to its manpower position which is the process that
could be determine by the management.
