Every young person will have to face the important question of whether they should get a job or

continue their learning career after graduating from high school. Some people believe that getting a job
right after graduating from high school will bring many advantages to them, others argue that it’s better
to go to the university after graduating from high school. In my opinion, I will incline more toward the
latter argument that going to the university is a smarter choice than getting a job after graduating from
high school.

Finding a job right after graduating from high school can have a couple of tempting benefits. Proponents
of this standpoint are willing to make money at a very young age. This makes them more independent
and able to live the way they want. When young people have money, they can afford their favorite items
and even give money to support their parents. In addition, young people can accumulate work
experience and learn practical skills that have never been learned in school. Consequently, they are very
likely to be promoted quickly and have a successful career.

However, I am of the opinion that it is wiser to go to the university after finishing high school by virtue of
several reasons. Firstly, people who have good qualifications from famous universities can get better
jobs with higher salaries than those who are uneducated. Some positions in the company such as
manager and CEO require very high degrees related to management and administration. Those who
have no qualifications are unable to take over such important positions in a company. Furthermore,
there are hundreds of people applying for a position in a company. Young people who never studied in
college or university have no chance of competing in the ever-increasing competitive job market these
days.

In conclusion, even though getting a job right after graduating from high school has some attractive
benefits, studying still should be the priority.
