TECHNOLOGY BASED ART - refers to art production that Is generated and manipulated by Computer.

• MOBILE PHONE ART - The cellular phone is handheld and portable telecommunication device that
uses radio waves to call and receive message. In the 21st century, cellular phone has evolved into a
smart phone. It can take photos, record videos, send e-mails, access internet, play music and etc.

The following are the things that smart phone users can do in the images taken by smart phones:

1. Resize
2. Crop
3. Wrap
4. Rotate
5. Flip
6. Adjust brightness and sharpness
7. Change colors
8. Add filters, texts, stickers, and frames
9. Apply textures
10. Record location and time
• DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY - One of several forms of digital imaging. In digital imaging. In digital
photography, the image is exposed, captured, and stored electronically.
• DIGITAL PAINTING - Makes use of a. Computer, a tablet on a software to imitate traditional painting
mediums such as watercolor, ink, acrylic paints, and oils.

AFRICAN MUSIC

AFRICA - °Africa is the second largest continent in the world. , The region is made up of mountains, plateau,
and immense rigid blocks of prehistoric rocks. Africans are known for their dark complexion which is a result of
climatic adaption. Their skin complexion can vary from light tan to very dark skin tones.

AFRICAN MUSIC - African music has been used for the following purposes; to celebrate an event to convey
news, to teach morality, to tell a story, and to spread religion. The adaption of musical instruments started
when the Arabs entered the region. When the Arabs came, they took in some Africans as slaves.

• AFRICAN RHYTHM
o MARACATU - Is an ancient festival tradition in Brazil that represent the efforts of African slaves to
preserve their culture in distant lands? The main spectacle of the festival is the rhythm of African
drums. The two features of the festival are the playing of tradition African musical instruments and
the parade of royalties.
• AFRICAN VOCAL MUSIC
o BLUES - the blues originated from the former African slaves that had settled in the United States. It
is a secular folk music that emerged in the early 20th century. This kind of vocal music was popular
among the black people.
o SOUL MUSIC - Is a term adapted to the popular American-African music that has spread
throughout the United States? Soul Music is the combination of gospel music, rhythm, and blues,
and jazz.
o SPIRITUAL - Is a religious folk song that originated from the Africans that had migrated in the
United States. This kind of music started during the informal meetings or camp meetings of Africans
where they would sing. chant, dance, and experience spiritual trances.
o CALL AND RESPONSE - A singing style involves the succession of lines. For instance, the leader will
sing the beginning of the song and the chorus will join in the refrain with the block response.

MILLENIUM AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

MILLENIUM DEVELOPMENT GOALS - were initiated by the United Nations in 2000 to be attained by all of its
members in 2o15. These eight goals are inter-independent with the ultimate goal to achieve better health in
global level. The following are the eight millennium development goals.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS - The sustainable development goals, also known as the global goals.
were formulated based on the previous millennium development goals. The united nations is continuously
working to combat poverty by initiating programs that can build economic growth in every country all over the
world. SDG's aims to fight climate change and to develop environmental protection environmental protection
programs.
