Miguel is forced to visit his sick grandmother Isabella with his mother Mercedes instead of attending his prom party. Miguel does not get along with Isabella due to her mistreatment of him as a child. While staying at Isabella's rural home, Miguel plans to escape through the bathroom window to go to Bogota for the party. However, he sees a woman in the hallway and assumes it is his grandmother, though she does not respond when he calls out.

1. INT.HOME - INTRODUCTION - DAY
SCREEN IMAGE: November 2010
SEQUENCE of IMAGES
IMAGE A. Sitting in the living room of the house, MIGUEL
and MERCEDES are arguing.
2. EXT. HOUSE GARAGE - DAY
IMAGE B. Miguel and Mercedes store their suitcases in the
car, preparing to go on a trip.
NARRATOR(OFF)
It's the last weeks of school
before graduation, Miguel a
16-year-old, was forced to go
visit his grandmother with the
one that he did not get along,
because when she took care of
him as a little boy, she treated
him badly.

3. INT.MERCEDES CAR - DAY


Miguel argues with Mercedes while she is driving, she
won't let him go spend the weekend with his friends.
MERCEDES
(Exalted)
You can't go to the prom party,
because ISABELLA, your
grandmother, is very sick and we
have to visit it. There will be
other parties, stop being always
so exaggerated!
Miguel looks out the car window and ignores what his
mother says
MICHAEL (V.O.)
My mom is never here, she's
always at work and now she's
ruining my plans, she never
listens to me, she thinks I
don't have any problems, how
annoying she gets.

4. EXT. ISABELLA VILLAGE HOUSE - DAY
ON-SCREEN TEXT: Villarrica Tolima

NARRATOR(OFF)
Mercedes was paying MARIA, an
old friend of Isabella's
childhood.

NARRATOR(OFF) (CONT´D)
Maria is in charge of her care
due to the fact that they live
in the city and it makes it
difficult for them to go often
to see her.

5. INT. ISABELLA HOUSE - DAY


SEQUENCE OF IMAGE
IMAGE A: They settle in their respective rooms. The door
closes.
IMAGE B: Miguel locks himself in his room, with a bad
face just playing with his cell phone.

6. INT. ISABELLA HOUSE - DAY


IMAGE C: Everyone gathered in the dining room there
having lunch and talking.

NARRATOR(OFF)
Miguel does not like to visit
his grandmother, Since he was
afraid of her, he had heard that
the two of them had played a
long time ago with the Ouija and
behave strangely since then.

7. EXT. ISABELLA'S HOUSE - NIGHT

8. INT. ISABELLA'S HOUSE - NIGHT


It was the middle of the night, Miguel already has a plan
to escape to Bogotá to see his friends, he quietly leaves
his room, picks up his suitcase and packs his elegant
clothes, and slowly goes down the stairs to go out
through the window of the bathroom.

9. INT. ISABELLA'S BATHROOM - NIGHT


Miguel reaches the bathroom and opens the window through
which he throws the suitcase, he hears some strange
noises and before escaping he sees a woman on the other
side of the hall, he assumes it´s his grandmother and
immediately tries to uncover his escape.

MICHAEL
(Amazed)
Grandma, what are you doing
awake at this hour? hello!?...
I'll walk you to your room, I
was going to sleep too.
