Sieve Analysis Test: ASTM D 421 - 72

This document contains the results of a sieve analysis test on two soil samples according to ASTM D 421-72. Sample I was described as gravelly silty sand. The percentages of sand, silt, and clay particles in the sample are reported. Sample II was also gravelly silty sand and its particle size distribution is shown in a graph. The test determines the range of particle sizes in a soil sample.
