Introduction

Desarda group of industries is a pioneer in manufacturing of core equipments for pulp & paper industry in India. It is
serving the pulp & paper industry since last more than four decades. Started with a small foundry in the year 1977, by Dr.
Champalal Desarda, who had completed his Doctorate in Metallurgy from BRNO University, Czechoslovakia with
specialization in high chrome steel alloys.

scientist & metallurgist Dr. Desarda was the Founder & Chairman of the Company. Parason started its rst research unit
for pulp & paper machinery in the Year 1977.

by Parason not only enables paper mills to increase its paper quality but also reduces huge power consumptions by
machines which is the key point in paper industry. Parason offered products are widely used by Molded ber, kraft, tissue,

A Mastermind and leader in Engineering

Dr. Desarda, an industrialist of par excellence under whose aegis the Desarda group grew from
strength to strength. Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering with specialization in high chrome steel
alloys from BRNO University, Czech Republic. He has been the driving force and powerful source of
inspiration which has been helping Desarda group to touch new heights. He was a leader of the
masses, someone who would often champion the cause of the poor and downtrodden. He was a
humanitarian at heart and an avant-garde visionary.

Mr. Shekhar Desarda has many facets to his personality. He is the Chairman cum Managing Director of
Desarda Group, Executive Member of Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Institute (IPPTA) Saharanpur,
India with many technical papers to his credit.

Mr. Shekhar Desarda is the man behind the transformation of a moderately performing company into a

Parason’s semi­automa c Molded fiber produc on machine is a hybrid technological solu on for the most popular machine type. Forming machine is
controlled by PLC system which ensures accurate pouring of pulp into the mold and applica on of vacuum which benefits in uniform forma on of
products. Skirted molds prevent the splashing of slurry out of the molds while it is being poured. It has two stages: forming and drying. It has one forming

India is predominantly an agrarian economy contributing 17% to the GDP, resultantly generating millions of tonnes of agro-
waste annually. Despite having vast availability, usage of various sorts of agro-wastes for developing value-added products that
can bene t agrarian sector as well is stilled untapped.
Parason Molded Fiber Product solution is based on circular economy model and we endeavour to promote manufacturing,
sourcing and using of single-use disposable products which makes no attempt in degrading the environment and the
ecosystem. Parason sees an opportunity in utilizing different kinds of agro-waste (sugarcane bagasse, wheat straw, rice straw,
etc.) ber pulp and other non-wood ber pulp in developing various types of molded ber products which are non-carcinogenic,
biodegradable, compostable and fails to pose any threat after its intended usage. With the increasing awareness about ill-
effects of single-use plastic, health & environmental consciousness and urbanization the demand for biodegradable tableware
and other molded ber products are on rise.
Agro-waste ber pulp molded tableware is the best response to the ubiquitous problem, single-use plastic pollution. SUPs &
foamed plastic are petroleum based products and are non-biodegradable, carcinogenic, non-renewable resource, unhygienic,
