PORT OF GUAYMAS

Guaymas Hinterland -Foreland

The influence area from the port of Guaymas or Hinterland, for


its location, has a character of international Port, the access
maritime way from the international commerce routes it takes
place in the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortes. The Influence
Zone it represented by Sonora, Southern Baja California,
Chihuahua, Sinaloa, and Arizona.

Foreland.- The state and the economy from Sonora holds a


solid commercial attachment in the southern region from the
United States, mainly with Texas, New Mexico, Utah, and
Arizona, being the last one the economic Zone with more
growing and dynamic from the U.S.A.

PORT FACILITIES

▪ The port of Guaymas has 2 fiscal corridors in operation, the Guaymas-


Arizona corridor and the Guaymas-Mexicali corridor, which provide
facilities for cargo in international transit that operates through the
port of Guaymas.

▪ The Guaymas-Arizona corridor is linked to the CANAMEX corridor that


connects the Mexican territory with the countries of the USA and
CANADA, through said corridor, more than one million tons of mineral
bulk are operated annually by rail through Ferromex and Union Pacific.

▪ Mineral bulk from North American states such as Arizona, Utah and
New Mexico send their cargo through Guaymas to Asia

PORT FACILITIES

The Port of Guaymas has 6 dock´s positions to handle cargo loading and
unloading maneuvers.

The services offered are: Loading – unloading of mineral bulk, general cargo,
project cargo and containerized cargo.

Delivery – reception of mineral bulk and general cargo.

Delivery - reception of containers.

Consolidation and deconsolidation of containers.

▪ MINERAL BULK: Copper concentrate, Iron ore, coal,


coke, gypsum.

▪ CONTAINERS: Grains, cyanide, wood, fish oil, canned


food, solar panels, parts for various machinery.

▪ FLUIDS: Fish Oil, Sulfuric Acid, Fertilizer.

▪ GENERAL CARGO : oversized machinery and


equipment.
