The Alcatel-Lucent 8340 SmartIP-DECT Access Points (APs) product family provides DECT con-
nectivity on the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX™ Enterprise and OmniPCX Office Rich Communication
Edition (RCE) Communication Server (CS), to offer cost-effective, on-site mobility using IP
network connectivity. In conjunction with Alcatel-Lucent 500/8232 DECT handsets, the 8340
Smart IP-DECT APs offer reliable voice communications and full integration with the OmniPCX
Enterprise CS voice services (such as dial-by-name or multi-line management) to provide seam-
less feature transition between Alcatel-Lucent fixed desk phones and on-site mobility. R150
supports embedded certificates for 802.1x readiness, OXE spatial redundancy and Passive Call
Server support.
The Alcatel-Lucent 8340 IP-DECT is HD-voice ready according to CAT-iq and will protect your
investment when end to end high audio quality will be available and is compatible with existing
4080 IP-DECT installations.
