No commentary for this section but a lot of energy. Some versions of the Tikunei Zohar, omitted the
holy names, because it is so powerful spiritual connection.
Because most of the current generation are idiots and can’t see or feel it, I feel safe to put it here with a
warning. The names above are the concealed light of the 72 names.
Scan it and meditate on maximizing your potential revealing light in all of your actions.

The Hebrew line below is a reference to the Hebrew text in the actual Zohar book. There is no English
book for the text of Tikunei Zohar, which is the source for the Daily Zohar.

Tikkun 66 – 7

In the older times some people knew how to find animals of a specific Zodiac sign and by using Holy
names they had activated them to be channels. They used them to get information and powers from the
spiritual system. Holy Names were pushed in their mouth so they could speak in human language. The
sin of the Golden Calf was done this way.

In the Ten Commandments we are told that we should not use the name of God in vain.
Exodus 20:6
“‫ׁשְמֹו לַּׁשָ וְא‬-‫ּׂשא אֶת‬
ָ ִ ‫י‬-‫ אֵת אֲ ׁשֶר‬,‫ ּכִי ֹלא יְנַּקֶה י ְהוָה‬:‫ּׁשוְא‬
ָ ‫ ַל‬,‫י ְהוָה אֱֹלהֶיָך‬-‫ׁשֵם‬-‫ּׂשא אֶת‬
ָ ִ‫”ֹלא ת‬
“Thou shalt not take the name of YHVH thy God in vain; for YHVH will not hold him guiltless that
taketh His name in vain. ”

If a person uses Holy Names to create spiritual channels for his own purposes then the process of
cleansing is very hard because negativity grabs hold of that energy.
Jeremiah 51:44
“ ,‫יִנְהֲרּו ֵאלָיו עֹוד‬-‫ וְֹלא‬,‫ ִּבלְעֹו ִמּפִיו‬-‫ וְהֹצֵאתִ י אֶת‬,‫ּבֵל ְּב ָבבֶל‬-‫ּו ָפקַדְ ּתִ י עַל‬
‫ נָ ָפלָה‬,‫חֹומַת ָּבבֶל‬-‫ּגֹוי ִם; ּגַם‬.”
“And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed
up, and the nations shall not flow any more unto him; yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall”

Babylon represents the improper use of the Holy names and confusion of the languages that were the
result of that. (Read the Portion of Noah)

In the future God will remove the hold of the negativity on the names that were swallowed by them in
the Malchut level.

The sacred language of the Zohar embeds many Holy names in a balanced way. When we study it, we
benefit from the power of the light to influence positive change and have better control over our lives.

Since the destruction of the Holy Temple, we can not use and manipulate Holy names outside the ones
that are in the Torah. The work and sacrifices that the high priest did at that time purified the world and
all negativity that came to be from improper use of the names. Nowadays we do not have this
purification channel and we can not use names.
When we use the common name ‘ADONAI’, it should not be spoken out unless it is with a blessing or
during a proper spiritual connection and meditation.
Speaking the Holy names reveal them in Malchut and negativity will try to grab the energy if it is not
protected.

After important spiritual connection we should say the verse

“‫”ּבָרּוְך ׁשֵם ּכְבֹוד ַמלְכּותֹו לְעֹולָם ָועֶד‬
Transliterated to: “baruch shem kevod malchuto le’olam va’ed”
English translation is given here but it doesn’t have any protection value
Translation: “Blessed is the name of his kingdom’s honor forever and ever”

It is the same six words that we whisper after the Ana B’Koach and after the first six words of the
Shema Israel. If you do Ana B’koach followed immediately by scanning 72 names, say the above line at
the end of the scanning.

There are some ‘business entrepreneurs’ that sell kabbalistic amulets with holy names. We should not
use any of these unless they come from a well known righteous Kabbalist and even then, we should not
see the name but carry it on us. Tattooing Holy names or 72 names on the body is not recommended at
all.

‫‪Improper sexual unification has the aspect of idol worshiping because its focus on the pleasures of the‬‬
‫‪body. Actions that bring a person closer to the other side separates him from YHVH.‬‬

‫ָָארץ ּומִָּׁש ם ֱהפִיצָם י ְהוָה עַל ְּפ נֵי ָּכל ה ֶ‬

The people of Babylon had the power of the Hebrew letters and could harness strong spiritual forces for
their own purposes. They used it to draw Light from the upper levels to this world for selfish purposes.
They went against the intended and positive purposes of the letters. God ‘mixed’ the language so they
won’t be able to corrupt the pure spiritual system.

God gave us the Torah as a tool to connect to his name in proper and balanced ways.
Exodus 3:15
“ ‫וַֹּיאמֶר עֹוד אֱ ֹלהִים ֶאל מֶֹׁש ה ֹּכה ת ֹאמַר אֶ ל ְּב נֵי י ְִׂש ָר ֵאל י ְהוָה ֱאֹלהֵי ֲאב ֹתֵ יכֶם ֱאֹלהֵי ַאב ְָרהָם אֱ ֹלהֵי י ִ ְצחָק וֵאֹלהֵי יַעֲק ֹב ְׁש ָל ַחנִי אֲ לֵיכֶם‬
‫”ז ֶה ְּׁש מִי לְעֹלָם ְוז ֶה זִכ ְִרי לְד ֹר ֹּדר‬
“God, furthermore, said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘YHVH, the God of your
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is My
name (‫ )ז ֶה ְּׁשמִ י‬forever, and this is My memorial-name (‫ ) ְוז ֶה זִכ ְִרי‬to all generations.”
The Zohar reveals that the first two letters, YH ‫ יה‬of the YHVH name with ‘my name, ‫ ’שמי‬has
numerical value of 365 corresponds to the 365 precepts of the Torah of “You shall not do…”. ‘My
memorial name, ‫ ’זִכ ְִרי‬with the the letters VH ‫ וה‬of the name have numerically value of 248,
corresponding to the 248 precepts of positive actions.
The word for precept is ‫מצוה‬. The last two letters are the ‫ וה‬VH of the YHVH name. The first two are ‫מצ‬
and when we follow the mitzvah we transform the letters to their ‫ אתבש‬atbash and we get ‫ יה‬YH and
together we get ‫ יהוה‬YHVH. With every Mitzvah we make a ‘name’ for ourselves.
The precepts, ‘Mitzvah’ of the Torah are opportunities for us to make connection to the central column
and the YHVH name and draw down blessings.
Mitzvah and Atbash ‫ אתבש‬table

In Atbash ‫ אתבש‬the first letter is replaced with the last letter, the second with the second to last letter and
so on as we see below. 

The first two letters of ‫( מצוה‬precept) ‫ מ‬and ‫ צ‬have the numerical value of 130 which is 10 times ‘love’
‫( אהבה‬Numerically 13). It direct us to do the precept with love because the YHVH name, numerically 26
represents twice 13 = twice love. With that we make unification of upper and lower and enjoy flow of
light to our world.
Our body have 248 parts and every precept connects our body to the name YHVH. The outcome of
following the precepts described in Deuteronomy 28:10
“‫ָָארץ ִּכי ֵׁש ם י ְהוָה נִק ְָרא ָעלֶיָך ְוי ְָראּו מִֶּמָּך‬
ֶ ‫”ו ְָראּו ָּכל עֵַּמ י ה‬
“So all the peoples of the earth will see that the name of YHVH can be read on you, and they will be
afraid of you.”
The 365 precepts of avoiding doing negative is a daily work as the number of these precepts implies. We
build the name with the 248 and preserve it by not following negative actions that may separate the
name from us.

King David had to connect to the patriarchs in Hebron before taking the crown of the Kingdom. He
stayed in Hebron for seven year and six month to achieve complete connection to Zeir Anpin and Binah
that is the ‘power’ of the ‘crown’.
It was similar with Abraham that needed to connect to the Land of Israel for proper connection to the
Holy One Blessed Be He.

Genesis 12:6
“‫ָָארץ‬
ֶ ‫ ּב‬,‫”… ַוּיַעֲב ֹר ַאב ְָרם‬
“And Abram passed through the land ”
The Zohar explains that the word “and he passed” “‫ ” ַוּיַעֲב ֹר‬implies to the 72 names that ‘sealed’ the
creation of the world. The word is constructed from ‫ עב‬that equals to 72 and ‫ ויר‬that equals to 216 as the
number of letters in the 72 names.

Before God revealed himself to Moses he said;
Exodus 33:19
“‫אֲרחֵם‬ ַ ‫אֲׁשֶר‬-‫ ו ְִר ַחמְּתִ י אֶת‬,‫אֲ ׁשֶר ָאח ֹן‬-‫ ְל ָפנֶיָך; ְוחַּנ ֹתִ י אֶת‬,‫ ְוק ָָראתִ י ְבׁשֵם י ְהוָה‬,‫ ָּפנֶיָך‬-‫טּובִי עַל‬-‫ ֲאנִי ַא ֲעבִיר ּכָל‬,‫ וַּי ֹאמֶר‬.”
“And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of
YHVH before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on
whom I will show compassion.”
God told Moses that he will show him all his ‘goodness’. The literal translation is “I will pass before you
all my goodness…”. The word used is “‫ ”אעביר‬with the same root as “‫ ” ַוּיַעֲב ֹר‬and same numerical value
when adding the letter count.
The ‘goodness is the thirteen attributes of God and the Torah starts their revelation with the same word “
‫ ” ַוּיַעֲב ֹר‬that represents the 72 names as described above.
Exodus 34:6 “And YHVH passed before him…” “‫ ָּפנָיו‬-‫” ַוּיַעֲב ֹר י ְהוָה עַל‬
The goodness is the complete light of the Tree of Life that is revealed in the world of Malchut
(Kingdom) when we go up and connect to Binah to open the upper gates.
The 72 names is a very powerful tool and shouldn’t be used improperly. Breaking out names is the
aspect of idol worshipping, having Gods for this benefit or another.
There are some names that can be used individually but only mentioned by the Holy Ari, Rabbi Chaim
Vital or other great kabbalists of the past.
I do not use individual names nor recommend doing so. In most cases it’s a waste of energy to the other
side when the meditation doesn’t match the true essence of the name.
I do recommend scanning the entire 72 names chart and or read/scan or listen to the 72 names prayer as

Exodus 14:19
“‫ מֵ ַאח ֲֵריהֶם‬,‫ וַַּיעֲמ ֹד‬,‫ ִמְּפ נֵיהֶם‬,‫ ֵמַאח ֲֵריהֶם; ַוִּיַּסע עַּמּוד ֶה ָענָן‬,‫ וֵַּילְֶך‬,‫ הַהֹלְֵך ִל ְפנֵי ַמ ֲחנֵה י ְִׂש ָר ֵאל‬,‫ ַוִּיַּס ע ַמ ְלאְַך ָה ֱאֹלהִים‬.”
“Then the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them, and the
pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them,”

This is the first verse from the three that construct the holy 72 names. The ‘angel of God’ is the aspect of
the Shechina that moved in front of the Israelites because of the merit of the patriarchs and the three
columns, Abraham for Chessed, Isaac for Gevurah and Jacob for Central column, Tiferet. For that
reason, the three verses received the holy names.
The first verse for the right column is in regular order of the letters. The second verse is for Left column
and is reversed. The third verse if for the Central column and is represented in regular order of the
letters.

The first verse and letter of each of the 72 names is in the control of Chessed. The word Chessed in
Hebrew, ‘‫ ’חסד‬has the numerical value of 72.

The next studies of this week will be also about the 72 names. I will reveal the best and most powerful
way to connect to them as well as how not to use them.
