Guidelines and Mechanics for the NaKaPLan Digital Logo Design Contest:

1. The contest is open to all interested individuals;

2. There will be no maximum number of participants in the contest. Strictly, one


person, one entry;

3. The elements and colors of the logo must embody what the Naga Kabasalan
Protected Landscape (NaKaPLan) is all about, its vision, and its natural physique
and beauty;

4. The logo design must be adaptable for use in both print and electronic media;

5. The logo design must not be similar to other existing logos;

6. Each design submitted must have a version in a) color, and b) black and white
line art or grayscale;

7. The designer must consider that the logo design has to register even in its
smallest application (ex. Letterhead);

8. Each design submitted must include a brief rationale and a description of the
elements used and what they stand for;

9. Designs must be submitted in JPEG or PDF format and in high resolution;

10. Entries must be submitted through email [email protected] with


the designer’s name, age, address and contact information;

11. The contest duration is from August 15 to August 30, 2022.

12. Judging will be based on the following criteria:

Concept/Relevance - 40%
Originality/Uniqueness - 30%
Creativity and Impact - 30%

13. Three (3) entries will be chosen as finalists and presented to the NKPL Protected
Area Management Board (PAMB) for the determination of winner;

14. The name of the designer of the winning entry will be announced on _______
during the 3rd NaKaPLan PAMB Meeting;
15. The winning entry chosen by the PAMB will receive ₱5,000.00 and the remaining
two finalists will receive consolation prizes;

16. The decision of the NaKaPLan PAMB on the winning entry is final and
unappealable;

17. When the entry is chosen, the winner will be required to provide the original file
used to create the image in color, black and white or grayscale with a PSD or
Photoshop files;

18. By submitting his/her entry, the winning artist immediately and voluntarily waives
and relinquishes all rights to his/her entry including artistic, moral and economic
rights. Thereafter, the logo design shall become the exclusive property of DENR
IX NaKaPLan Protected Area Management Office, which may exercise all rights
of ownership over the logo.
