DUAS OF THE PROPHETS
FROM THE
NOBLE QURAN
1
1. The Dua Of Prophet Adam (AS) to Allah in repentance
ﺴ ﻨَﺎ َو إِن ﻟﱠْﻢ ﺗ َْﻐ ِﻔ ْﺮ ﻟَﻨَﺎ َو ﺗ َْﺮ َﺣ ْﻤ ﻨَﺎ ﻟَﻨَﻜُ ﻮﻧَﱠﻦ ِﻣ َﻦ اْﻟ َﺨ ﺎِﺳ ِﺮ ﯾَﻦ
َ ُ ظ ﻠَْﻤ ﻨَﺎ أ َﻧﻔ
َ َر ﺑﱠﻨَﺎ
Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not
upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers. – (Surah Al-A’raaf:23)
Dua of Prophet Nuh (AS)
2. Calling for Allah’s Help against the disbelievers
ظﺎِﻟِﻣﯾَن ِ ﻲ ُﻣْؤِﻣﻧًﺎ َوِﻟْﻠُﻣْؤِﻣِﻧﯾَن َواْﻟُﻣْؤِﻣﻧَﺎ
ت َوَﻻ ﺗ َِزِد اﻟ ﱠ ب اْﻏِﻔْر ِﻟﻲ َوِﻟَواِﻟدَ ﱠ
َ ي َوِﻟَﻣْن دََﺧَل ﺑَْﯾِﺗ ِ ّ َر
ِإﱠﻻ ﺗ َﺑَﺎًرا
My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house as a believer
and all the believing men and all the believing women. And do not increase the
wrongdoers except in destruction. (Sura Nuh:28)
3. Seeking refuge from ignorance
س ِﻟﻲ ِﺑِﮫ ِﻋْﻠٌم ۖ َوِإﱠﻻ ﺗ َْﻐِﻔْر ِﻟﻲ َوﺗ َْرَﺣْﻣِﻧﻲ أ َﻛُْن ِﻣَن َ ب ِإ ِﻧّﻲ أ َﻋُوذ ُ ِﺑَك أ َْن أ َْﺳﺄ َﻟََك َﻣﺎ ﻟَْﯾ
ِ ّ َر
اْﻟَﺧﺎِﺳِرﯾَن
My Lord! I seek refuge in you from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And
unless you forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers. (Sura
Hud:47)

Dua of Prophet Ibraheem (AS)
4. When raising the foundations of the Ka’bah—Asking Allah for a nation submissive
to Him:
ﺳِﻣﯾُﻊ اْﻟﻌَِﻠﯾُم َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ ﺗ َﻘَﺑﱠْل ِﻣﻧﱠﺎ ۖ ِإﻧﱠَك أ َْﻧ
ت اﻟ ﱠ
ْ ُ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َواْﺟﻌَْﻠﻧَﺎ ُﻣْﺳِﻠَﻣْﯾِن ﻟََك َوِﻣْن ذ ُِّرﯾﱠِﺗﻧَﺎ أ ُﱠﻣﺔً ُﻣْﺳِﻠَﻣﺔً ﻟََك َوأ َِرﻧَﺎ َﻣﻧَﺎِﺳَﻛﻧَﺎ َوﺗ
ب َﻋﻠَْﯾﻧَﺎ ۖ ِإﻧﱠَك
ب اﻟﱠرِﺣﯾُم ُ ت اﻟﺗ ﱠﱠوا َ أ َْﻧ
Our Lord! accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.
Our Lord! and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a
Muslim nation [ in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our
repentance. (Sura Al Baqarah:127-128)
5. Resolve to worship Allah exclusively
ِ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َﻋﻠَْﯾَك ﺗ ََوﱠﻛْﻠﻧَﺎ َوِإﻟَْﯾَك أ َﻧَْﺑﻧَﺎ َوِإﻟَْﯾَك اْﻟَﻣ
ﺻﯾُر
ت اْﻟﻌَِزﯾُز اْﻟَﺣِﻛﯾُم
َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َﻻ ﺗ َْﺟﻌَْﻠﻧَﺎ ِﻓﺗْﻧَﺔً ِﻟﻠﱠِذﯾَن َﻛﻔَُروا َواْﻏِﻔْر ﻟَﻧَﺎ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ ۖ ِإﻧﱠَك أ َْﻧ
Our Lord! upon You we have replied, and to You we have returned, and to You is
the destination. Our Lord! Make us not [objects of torment for the disbelievers
forgive us, our Lord. Indeed,it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (Sura
Mumtahina :4-5)
6. Seeking a Submissive Future Generation
ﺻﻧَﺎَم ب اْﺟﻌَْل َٰھذَا اْﻟﺑَﻠَدَ آِﻣﻧًﺎ َواْﺟﻧ ُْﺑِﻧﻲ َوﺑَِﻧ ﱠ
ْ َ ﻲ أ َْن ﻧَْﻌﺑ ُدَ اْﻷ ِ ّ َر
My Lord! Make this city [Makkah] and keep me and my sons away from worshipping
idols. (Sura Ibraheem: 35)

7.
ب اْﺟﻌَْﻠِﻧﻲ ُﻣِﻘﯾَم اﻟ ﱠ
ﺻَﻼِة َوِﻣْن ذ ُِّرﯾﱠِﺗﻲ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َوﺗ َﻘَﺑﱠْل د َُﻋﺎء ِ ّ َر
My Lord! Make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our
Lord, and accept my supplication. (Sura Ibraheem:40)
8.
ب َ ي َوِﻟْﻠُﻣْؤِﻣِﻧﯾَن ﯾَْوَم ﯾَﻘ ُوُم اْﻟِﺣ
ُ ﺳﺎ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ اْﻏِﻔْر ِﻟﻲ َوِﻟَواِﻟدَ ﱠ
Our Lord! forgive me and my parents and all the believers the Day the account is
established. (Sura Ibraheem : 41)
9. Comprehensive Prayer
ﺼﺎِﻟِﺤﯿَﻦﺐ ِﻟﻲ ُﺣْﻜًﻤﺎ َوأ َْﻟِﺤْﻘﻨِﻲ ﺑِﺎﻟ ﱠ ْ ب َھِ ّ َر
ق ﻓِﻲ اْﻵِﺧِﺮﯾَﻦ ٍ ﺻْﺪ ِ ﺴﺎَن َ َواْﺟﻌَْﻞ ِﻟﻲ ِﻟ
َواْﺟﻌَْﻠﻨِﻲ ِﻣْﻦ َوَرﺛ َِﺔ َﺟﻨﱠِﺔ اﻟﻨﱠِﻌﯿِﻢ
My Lord! grant me authority and join me with the righteous. And grant me a
reputation of honor among later generations. And place me among the inheritors
of the Garden of delight. (Sura Ash-Shuara: 83-85)
Dua of Prophet Lut (AS)
10. Calling for Allah’s Help against the disbelievers
ﺻْرِﻧﻲ َﻋﻠَﻰ اْﻟﻘَْوِم اْﻟُﻣْﻔِﺳِدﯾَن
ُ ب اْﻧ
ِ ّ َر
My Lord! Support me against the corrupting people. (Sura Al-Ankabut:30)
Dua of Prophet Musa (AS)
11. For any good:
ﻲ ِﻣْن َﺧْﯾٍر ﻓَِﻘﯾٌر َ ب ِإ ِﻧّﻲ ِﻟَﻣﺎ أ َْﻧَزْﻟ
ت ِإﻟَ ﱠ ِ ّ َر
My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me. (Surah Al-
Qasas:24)
Seeking Allah’s Aid to ease his task:
َ ب اْﺷَرْح ِﻟﻲ
ﺻْدِري ِ ّ َر
ﺳْر ِﻟﻲ أ َْﻣِري ّ ِ ََوﯾ
َ َواْﺣﻠ ُْل ﻋُْﻘدَة ً ِﻣْن ِﻟ
ﺳﺎِﻧﻲ
ﯾَْﻔﻘَُﮭوا ﻗَْوِﻟﻲ
My Lord! expand for me my heart [with assurance]. And ease for me my task. And
untie the knot from my tongue. That they may understand my speech. (Sura Al-Ta
Ha:25-28)
Dua of Prophet Dawood (AS)
12. His army for victory over Jalut and his forces:
ﻋﻠَﻰ اْﻟﻘَْوِم اْﻟَﻛﺎِﻓِرﯾَن ُ ت أ َْﻗدَاَﻣﻧَﺎ َواْﻧ
َ ﺻْرﻧَﺎ َ ﻋﻠَْﯾﻧَﺎ
ْ ّﺻْﺑًرا َوﺛ َ ِﺑ ْ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ أ َْﻓِر
َ غ
Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving
people. (Al-Baqarah :250)
13. Dua of Prophet Sulaiman (AS)
َ ي َوأ َْن أ َْﻋَﻣَل
ﺻﺎِﻟًﺣﺎ ﻲ َوَﻋﻠَٰﻰ َواِﻟدَ ﱠ َ ب أ َْوِزْﻋِﻧﻲ أ َْن أ َْﺷﻛَُر ِﻧْﻌَﻣﺗ ََك اﻟﱠِﺗﻲ أ َْﻧﻌَْﻣ
ت َﻋﻠَ ﱠ ِ ّ َر
ﺿﺎه ُ َوأ َْدِﺧْﻠِﻧﻲ ِﺑَرْﺣَﻣِﺗَك ِﻓﻲ ِﻋﺑَﺎِدَك اﻟ ﱠ
ﺻﺎِﻟِﺣﯾَن َ ﺗ َْر

My Lord! enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon
me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit
me by Your mercy into [the ranks of ] Your righteous servants. (Sura An-Naml:19)
14. Dua of Prophet Zakariah (AS)
َ ط ِﯾّﺑَﺔً ۖ ِإﻧﱠَك
ﺳِﻣﯾُﻊ اﻟد ﱡَﻋﺎِء َ ًب ِﻟﻲ ِﻣْن ﻟَد ُْﻧَك ذ ُِّرﯾﱠﺔ
ْ ب َھ
ِ ّ َر
My Lord! grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of
Supplication. (Surah Al-Imran:38)
15. Dua of Prophet Shu’ayb (AS)
ت َﺧْﯾُر اْﻟﻔَﺎِﺗِﺣﯾَن ِ ّ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ اْﻓﺗ َْﺢ ﺑَْﯾﻧَﻧَﺎ َوﺑَْﯾَن ﻗَْوِﻣﻧَﺎ ِﺑﺎْﻟَﺣ
َ ق َوأ َْﻧ
Our Lord! Judge between us and our people with the truth , for You are the best of
those who give judgement. (Surah Al-A’raaf:89)
16. Dua of Prophet Yusuf (AS)
ت َوِﻟ ِﯾّﻲ ِﻓﻲ اﻟد ﱡْﻧﯾَﺎ َواْﻵِﺧَرِة ۖ ﺗ ََوﻓﱠِﻧﻲ ُﻣْﺳِﻠًﻣﺎ َوأ َْﻟِﺣْﻘِﻧﻲ
َ ض أ َْﻧ
ِ ت َواْﻷ َْر ﻓَﺎِطَر اﻟ ﱠ
ِ ﺳَﻣﺎَوا
ﺻﺎِﻟِﺣﯾَن
ِﺑﺎﻟ ﱠ
The (only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector, Helper,
Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as a
Muslim (the one submitting to Your Will), and join me with the righteous. (Surah
Yusuf:101)
17. Dua of Prophet Ayyub (AS)

After he was ill for many years:
ت أ َْرَﺣُم اﻟﱠراِﺣِﻣﯾَن
َ ﺿﱡر َوأ َْﻧ
ﻲ اﻟ ﱡ أَ ِﻧّﻲ َﻣ ﱠ
َ ﺳِﻧ
Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show
mercy. (Sura Al-Anbiya:83)
18. Dua of Prophet Yunus (AS)
ت ِﻣَن اﻟ ﱠ
ظﺎِﻟِﻣﯾَن َ َﻻ ِإ ٰﻟَﮫَ ِإﱠﻻ أ َْﻧ
ُ ت ﺳُْﺑَﺣﺎﻧََك ِإ ِﻧّﻲ ﻛُْﻧ
La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah)], Glorified
(and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have
been of the wrong-doers. (Sura Al Anbiya :87)
19. Dua of the people of the cave.
َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ آِﺗﻧَﺎ ِﻣْن ﻟَد ُْﻧَك َرْﺣَﻣﺔً َوَھ ِﯾّْﺊ ﻟَﻧَﺎ ِﻣْن أ َْﻣِرﻧَﺎ َر
ﺷدًا
Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the
right way. (Sura Kahf:10)
20. Dua Revealed to Prophet (Saw) during the journey of M’raaj.
Last two verses of Sura Al Baqarah
ِ آَﻣَن اﻟﱠرﺳُوُل ِﺑَﻣﺎ أ ُْﻧِزَل ِإﻟَْﯾِﮫ ِﻣْن َر ِﺑِّﮫ َواْﻟُﻣْؤِﻣﻧ ُوَن ۚ ﻛُﱞل آَﻣَن ِﺑﺎ ﱠ
َوَﻣَﻼِﺋَﻛِﺗِﮫ َوﻛُﺗ ُِﺑِﮫb
طْﻌﻧَﺎ ۖ ﻏُْﻔَراﻧََك َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َوِإﻟَْﯾَكَ َ ﺳِﻣْﻌﻧَﺎ َوأ
َ َوُرﺳُِﻠِﮫ َﻻ ﻧ ُﻔَِّرُق ﺑَْﯾَن أ ََﺣٍد ِﻣْن ُرﺳُِﻠِﮫ ۚ َوﻗَﺎﻟ ُوا
ِ اْﻟَﻣ
ﺻﯾُر

ت ۗ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َﻻ ﺗ َُؤاِﺧْذﻧَﺎ ِإْن َ َ ﻋﻠَْﯾَﮭﺎ َﻣﺎ اْﻛﺗ
ْ َﺳﺑ ْ َﺳﺑ
َ ت َو َ ﺳﺎ ِإﱠﻻ ُوْﺳﻌََﮭﺎ ۚ ﻟََﮭﺎ َﻣﺎ َﻛً ُ ﻧَْﻔbف اﱠ ُ َّﻻ ﯾ َُﻛ ِﻠ
ﻋﻠَﻰ اﻟﱠِذﯾَن ِﻣْن ﻗَْﺑِﻠﻧَﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠَﻧﺎ َ ُ ﺻًرا َﻛَﻣﺎ َﺣَﻣْﻠﺗ َﮫ َ طﺄ ْﻧَﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َوَﻻ ﺗ َْﺣِﻣْل
ْ ﻋﻠَْﯾﻧَﺎ ِإ َ ﻧَِﺳﯾﻧَﺎ أ َْو أ َْﺧ
َ ﻋﻧﱠﺎ َواْﻏِﻔْر ﻟَﻧَﺎ َواْرَﺣْﻣﻧَﺎ ۚ أ َْﻧ
ت َﻣْوَﻻﻧَﺎ َ َوَﻻ ﺗ َُﺣِّﻣْﻠﻧَﺎ َﻣﺎ َﻻ
ُ طﺎﻗَﺔَ ﻟَﻧَﺎ ِﺑِﮫ ۖ َواْﻋ
َ ف
ﻋﻠَﻰ اْﻟﻘَْوِم اْﻟَﻛﺎِﻓِرﯾَن ُ ﻓَﺎْﻧ
َ ﺻْرﻧَﺎ
The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so
have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books
and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His
messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness,
our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the
consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of]
what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have
forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid
upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no
ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our
protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people. ( Sura Al Baqarah :285-
286)
21. Asking Allah for goodness in this world and the hereafter:
َ ﺳﻧَﺔً َوِﻗﻧَﺎ
َ ﻋذَا
ب اﻟﻧﱠﺎِر َ ﺳﻧَﺔً َوِﻓﻲ اْﻵِﺧَرِة َﺣ
َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ آِﺗﻧَﺎ ِﻓﻲ اﻟد ﱡْﻧﯾَﺎ َﺣ
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which
is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (Al Baqarah :201)

22. Asking Allah for the Hearts not to deviate from Truth:
ُ ت اْﻟَوﱠھﺎ
ب َ ب ﻟَﻧَﺎ ِﻣْن ﻟَد ُْﻧَك َرْﺣَﻣﺔً ۚ ِإﻧﱠَك أ َْﻧ ْ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َﻻ ﺗ ُِز
ْ غ ﻗ ُﻠ ُوﺑَﻧَﺎ ﺑَْﻌدَ ِإْذ َھدَْﯾﺗ َﻧَﺎ َوَھ
Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from
Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower. (Sura Al-Imran:8)
23. Allah is sufficient for me:
ب اْﻟﻌَْرِش اْﻟﻌَِظﯾِم َ ۖ ُ َﻻ ِإ ٰﻟَﮫَ ِإﱠﻻ ھَُوbﻲ اﱠ
ُ ﻋﻠَْﯾِﮫ ﺗ ََوﱠﻛْﻠ
ت ۖ َوھَُو َر ﱡ َ َﺣْﺳِﺑ
Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He
is the Lord of the Great Throne. (Surah Al -Tawbah: 129)
24. Seek refuge with Allah from the whispering Shaitan:
ت اﻟ ﱠ
ﺸﯿَﺎِطﯿِﻦ ُ َب أ
ِ ﻋﻮذُ ﺑَِﻚ ِﻣْﻦ َھَﻤَﺰا ِ ّ َر
ُ ب أ َْن ﯾَْﺣ
ﺿُروِن ِ ّ َوأ َﻋُوذ ُ ِﺑَك َر
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, And I seek refuge
in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me. (Sura Al-Mu’minoon :97-98)
25. Seeking Salvation:
َ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ آَﻣﻨﱠﺎ ﻓَﺎْﻏِﻔْﺮ ﻟَﻨَﺎ َواْرَﺣْﻤﻨَﺎ َوأ َْﻧ
ﺖ َﺧْﯿُﺮ اﻟﱠﺮاِﺣِﻤﯿَﻦ
Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the
best of the merciful. (Surah Al-Mu’minoon:109)
26. Migration to Madina – A proof of submission:
ﺻﯾًرا َ ق َواْﺟﻌَْل ِﻟﻲ ِﻣْن ﻟَد ُْﻧَك ﺳُْﻠ
ِ َطﺎﻧًﺎ ﻧ ِ ق َوأ َْﺧِرْﺟِﻧﻲ ُﻣْﺧَرَج
ٍ ﺻْد ِ ب أ َْدِﺧْﻠِﻧﻲ ُﻣْدَﺧَل
ٍ ﺻْد ِ ّ َر

My Lord, cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me
from Yourself a supporting authority. (Surah Al-Isra:80)
27. Seeking forgiveness and protection from hell fire:
ب اﻟﻧﱠﺎِرَ ت َٰھذَا ﺑَﺎِطًﻼ ﺳُْﺑَﺣﺎﻧََك ﻓَِﻘﻧَﺎ َﻋذَا َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َﻣﺎ َﺧﻠَْﻘ
َ ظﺎِﻟِﻣﯾَن ِﻣْن أ َْﻧ
ﺻﺎٍر َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ ِإﻧﱠَك َﻣْن ﺗ ُْدِﺧِل اﻟﻧﱠﺎَر ﻓَﻘَْد أ َْﺧَزْﯾﺗ َﮫ ُ ۖ َوَﻣﺎ ِﻟﻠ ﱠ
ﻺﯾَﻣﺎِن أ َْن آِﻣﻧ ُوا ِﺑَر ِﺑّﻛُْم ﻓَﺂَﻣﻧﱠﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ ﻓَﺎْﻏِﻔْر ﻟَﻧَﺎ ذ ُﻧ ُوﺑَﻧَﺎ َوَﻛ ِﻔّْر
ِ ْ ﺳِﻣْﻌﻧَﺎ ُﻣﻧَﺎِدﯾًﺎ ﯾ ُﻧَﺎِدي ِﻟ
َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ ِإﻧﱠﻧَﺎ
ﺳ ِﯾّﺋ َﺎِﺗﻧَﺎ َوﺗ ََوﻓﱠﻧَﺎ َﻣَﻊ اْﻷ َْﺑَراِر
َ َﻋﻧﱠﺎ
َف اْﻟِﻣﯾﻌَﺎد
ُ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ َوآِﺗﻧَﺎ َﻣﺎ َوَﻋْدﺗ َﻧَﺎ َﻋﻠَٰﻰ ُرﺳُِﻠَك َوَﻻ ﺗ ُْﺧِزﻧَﺎ ﯾَْوَم اْﻟِﻘﯾَﺎَﻣِﺔ ۗ ِإﻧﱠَك َﻻ ﺗ ُْﺧِﻠ
Our Lord, you did not create this purpose; exalted are You [above such a thing];
then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him, and for
the wrongdoers there are no helpers.
Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your
Lord,' and we have believed.
Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to
die with the righteous.
Our Lord and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not
disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, you do not fail in [Your] promise.
(Surah Al-Imran :191-194)
{Prophet (saw) used to recite the 10 ayaths of Al-i-Imran when he woke up from
sleep at night for Voluntary prayer}

28. Seeking Allah’s forgiveness for us and those before us in Iman and move
hatred:
ﻼ ِﻟﻠﱠِذﯾَنrﺳﺑَﻘ ُوﻧَﺎ ِﺑﺎ ْ ِﻹﯾَﻣﺎِن َوَﻻ ﺗ َْﺟﻌَْل ِﻓﻲ ﻗ ُﻠ ُوِﺑﻧَﺎ ِﻏ
َ َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ اْﻏِﻔْر ﻟَﻧَﺎ َو ِ ِﻹْﺧَواِﻧﻧَﺎ اﻟﱠِذﯾَن
ٌ آَﻣﻧ ُوا َرﺑﱠﻧَﺎ ِإﻧﱠَك َرُءو
ف َرِﺣﯾٌم
Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our
hearts [any] hatred toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind
and Merciful. (Surah Al-Hashr: 10)
29. The Believers of Thanksgiving:
َ ي َوأ َْن أ َْﻋَﻣَل
ﺻﺎِﻟًﺣﺎ ﻲ َوَﻋﻠَٰﻰ َواِﻟدَ ﱠ َ ب أ َْوِزْﻋِﻧﻲ أ َْن أ َْﺷﻛَُر ِﻧْﻌَﻣﺗ ََك اﻟﱠِﺗﻲ أ َْﻧﻌَْﻣ
ت َﻋﻠَ ﱠ ِ ّ َر
ت ِإﻟَْﯾَك َوِإ ِﻧّﻲ ِﻣَن اْﻟُﻣْﺳِﻠِﻣﯾَن ْ َ ﺿﺎه ُ َوأ
ُ ﺻِﻠْﺢ ِﻟﻲ ِﻓﻲ ذ ُِّرﯾﱠِﺗﻲ ۖ ِإ ِﻧّﻲ ﺗ ُْﺑ َ ﺗ َْر
My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon
me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and
make righteous for me my offspring. (Sura Al-Ahkaf:15).
