A brief biography of Jamadar Sahab of Hyderabad
Hazrat’s name was Shah Mohammed Shafi, and his patronymic
name was Jamadar. He was born in Aurangabad in the year 1192
Hijiri, and he left this mortal world in the year 1255 Hijiri,
corresponding to the year 1839 A.D. And he was brought up in
Aurangabad. Hazrat’s father, Peer Mohammed Khan, was
among the royal Mansadar (officers) of the kingdom of
Hyderabad. And he belonged to the people of dignity and
respect. When he reached adulthood, he joined the Nizam of
Hyderabad's royal army as a Jamadar (official), and Maharaja
Chandu Lal, the prime minister of Hyderabad state, was very
kind upon the Hazrat.
At the time, Hazrat Shaikh Ji Hali was well-known in
Hyderabad for his piousness, miracles, and supernatural
habits.As a result, the Hazrat had a strong desire to kiss him on
the feet.And for this passion, he came to Hyderabad from
Aurangabad along with family members. As there was a desire
in him to find the reality of Allah, so for this reason he was left
the honours of the service, elephant and palanquin, and he
became a disciple of Hazrat Shaikh Ji Hali in Hyderabad city.
And so, for this reason, he has settled down in Hyderabad for the
future of his life.
By paying attention to his innermost, he became the perfect
spiritual master, and as such, he became his caliphate as well as
his successor after him.Hazrat Shaikh Ji Hali used to be called
Hazrat Shibli and Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi.

Regarding Hazrat's applications, it is famous and well-known
that Nawab Shahwar Jung was a disciple of the Hazrat.And the
pregnancy of his daughter was stopped. And due to this reason,
the pregnant woman was in a lot of difficulty and trouble, and
there was danger to the life of the daughter due to this
reason.The wife of Shahsawar Jung told him to arrange for the
treatment of the daughter soon, otherwise there would be a loss
to her. And Hazrat Shahsawar Jung told her wife that he would
send a messenger in the presence of Hazrat to inform him of the
matter. So he has informed Hazrat of this matter soon. And
Hazrat told him, " Do not worry, there will be favour of Allah in
this matter." Hazrat sent some soil and flowers from the grave of
his spiritual master, Shaikh Ji Hali. " and asked to give for
eating to the pregnant woman. So it was done as per his
instruction in this matter. And there were no more delivery
pains, so the women were worried more for this reason. Nawab
Sahib’s wife left the room of the daughter to inform the Nawab
Sahab of this matter. She had seen Hazrat Shah Shafi Allah, who
was standing near one of the pillars there. Begum Sahaba said
salam to him and she was surprised that Hazrat was standing
there and nobody informed her on this matter. So she wanted to
go soon toward Nawab Sahab’s room. Hazrat explained that she
was going there but to ensure that the return as delivery was
completed.So Begum Sahaba went to the room of the daughter
and she found the baby boy was born. " And upon her
happiness, she went to see Hazrat in this matter. But he did not
find Hazrat there, and she asked her servants where was Hazrat?
But the servants told her that there was no information with
them. When Nawab heard this information, he told her that
"Maybe you have seen a dream." I am sitting here and this is the
way of coming and going to the house. So Hazrat did not come

on this way or go. " Afterward, his wife told him all the details
of the event of Hazrat to the Nawab Sahab.
In a nutshell, Hazrat was a great Sufi of his era.He was well
known for his endeavours and revelation, meditation and
observation, and there was no other Sufi master like him.
Hazrat’s appearance was like rich person but in reality he was
fakir person and like fakir persons. But he used to help fakir and
poor person and think this work as his duty in this matter.
Death : Hazrat left this world on Ramdan 20th in the year 1255
Hijiri on the night of Thursday, corresponding to the year 1839
A.D. at the age of 63 years. And he was buried in the locality of
Urdu Sharif at the side of his spiritual master. And upon his
death, his son Shah Mohammed Kha, also known as Khaja Miya
Sahab, became his successor and his caliph, and his well-known
and famous caliph is Khaja Fayaz Khan Banda. ( See Tazkir

Location : Hazrat’s tomb is situated in the locality of Urdu
Sharif in Hyderabad, which is near the tomb of Hazrat Shaikh Ji
Hali in the eastern direction in the rectangular design. And its
dimensions are as follows:
The length is 24 feet in the north and south directions, and the
width is 9 feet and 5 inches in the east and west directions.And
there is a beautiful net work of marble around the grave. And
there is a marble floor inside the tomb. And there are two
entrance doors in the tomb, one to the north and one to the
south.There are two graves in the tomb. The upper grave

belongs to the Hazrat, and the other grave at his feet belongs to
his successor and son, Hazrat Shah Mohammed Khaja Miya.
Hazrat’s grave is made of mortar, which is in good condition. Its
length is 7 feet and 2.5 inches, and its width is 5 feet and one
inch. And around the grave is a beautiful border, and its height is
5 feet.
The Urs, or annual death anniversary, is held every 20th Ramdan
by the custodian and caretaker who used to perform all the
formalites.
