Course Description
This course is an orientation of the logistics and supply chain management operations, which denotes the integration of key business processes from the original
suppliers through the end users. The course approaches managerial perspective and introduces concepts in format useful for management decision making. This
includes understanding the production operation issues relative to the efficient utilization of resources. It is also about the management of material, information, and
finance flows in multi-stage production-distribution networks.
General Objectives
.
1. To provide students through the concepts of the logistics and supply chain management the knowledge and understanding and tools necessary to develop,
implement, and sustain strategies for managing logistics and supply chain issues.
2. To emphasize among students a strategic framework to analyze supply chains, designing the supply chain network, planning demand and supply, managing
inventories, sourcing, transporting, pricing and revenue management.
3. To provide inputs to the students in understanding the cycle of trade services - import and export operations which is necessary for the chain of services, movement
of goods and funds.
4. To provide thorough understanding of the production operations function in support to efficient management of logistics and supply chain.

PART 2 - CASE ANALYSIS
Instructions:
1. Case Materials shall be provided before completing Part 1.
2. Case analysis is a group effort. It is encouraged the active participation of each member of the group in the preparation of the analysis and presentation.
3. Group’s case analysis must be submitted via email to the Professor a day before presentation schedule not later than 5:00 PM.
4. Other group members of the class not assigned to report the particular case for the day shall prepare a two-page individual analysis. To be submitted via email
