Research Proposal
Topic: Research on key technology of the Rail Vehicle Manufacturing DT System
motivate by 3D Model
Focused Question: Why we use the digital model to motivate the rail vehicle in a DT
system in China?
Summary: The study aims to explore the relationship between the digital of rail
vehicle model and manufacturing real system. The study was conducted by manage
department from a railway company in Qingdao, China, and the blueprint for
planning was designed according to digital twins system. The acritical collected data
follow by the state-of-art concerning simulation technology for industrial production,
model link the real world system, simulation optimization and control according the
industry 4.0(European Union’s 2020 research and Innovation Program) will be used in
the research. By correlation analysis between the three variables, the study outcome
can promote the rail vehicle benefit and motivate the DT system to low cost
manufacuring in companies.
Value: This study provides several theoretical and practical implications. Firstly, the
study can contribute to set up a factory based on Dital Twin technology research
theoretically and empirically ,by showing that a sense of humor significantly
influences DTs. Most current research ignored the welding ,machining tech processes
by which influences integration and organizational the whole process verification, this
study make the theoretical gap. This study have also some practical implications in
organizations. This study demonstrated that Chinese companies need to use digital
twins validation instead of entity test strategically and put more efforts to develop
and improve real world manufacturing data link and application.

The author in the article claims EDTs allows for a seamless transition between virtual
and real world by the integration of simulations technology. This article aims to
explore the tight integration of simulations technology. The acritical collected data
follow by the state-of-art concerning simulation technology for industrial production,
model link the real world system, simulation optimization and control according the
industry 4.0(European Union’s 2020 research and Innovation Program). The
correlation analysis and progressive analysis were used among the four steps. The
results shows there are significant linear relationships between EDTs and MBSE. This
is a reliable article I can use in my research, which provides firm evidence showing
the DTs can promote real system in companies. That’s the focus of my research.

Planning Data-Driven Digital Twins for Discrete Manufacturing Systems. Applied
Sciences, 11(8), 3639. doi:10.3390/app11083639
This article claims a five steps approach to planning data-driven digital twins of
manufacturing system and their proposes was significantly correlated with breaking
down the system and the underlying building blocks of the processes into four groups.
The study examined show the presentation and visualization of a system functioning
based on the digital twin for different participants in the last step. It collected data
from variety solutions(e.g., Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation)for developing
digital models. This is a reliable source of information from Applied Sciences and it
can offer detailed evidence of the relationship between the discrete manufacturing
systems and planning data-driven digital twins for my own study.

The author argues The availability of specialised software tools for DT tailored to
these differences would benefit industry. This research examines how can we make
simulation modelling cycles for DM and DT. The data analysis cycle for a DT is
performed online continuously and autonomously, using the objects resulting from the
development cycle. The result reveals a major difference is that it uses data queries, a
model generator, validation routines, results analysis routines and optimization.. The
article is reliable and it provides firm evidence of manufacturing industry and
maximize the productivity benefits from the industry 4.0 revolution, specialized
software tools designed for DES DT modelling that cater to these differences are
needed, which can support my claim and focus of my research.
