CAR SALES INFORMATION SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
Car Sales system is an application that computerizes the conventional
car sale procedure which we are aware of. This is a windows based
application. This helps in managing data related to buyers and sellers of
the cars. Business reports can also be generated and viewed. Car Sales
system that provides a car selling platform for user to view and manage
car sales online using this system. The car sales system consists of
innovative platform that is built for users to view car details as well as
search sort as per criteria. It allows admin to log information related to
transactions using a sql database.
EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing system all the transactions are done in offline mode. The
response is very slow and it is tough to retrieve particular data. Online
data capture and modification is unavailable. The records that are
maintained in MS Excel cannot be shared easily in multi user
environment. Lack of security grants access to anyone which may lead to
data misuse. These are the limitations of existing system. • Our
main idea is to develop a system where we can have all the required
information for the user in order to effectively interest him in the process
of buying a car.
DISADVANTAGES
Visual effect of product during manually purchasing the product is
different from viewing the product in your device.
It is difficult to maintain the car information individually and to
supply for the customers who are eager to buy them.
Customer has to face difficulty in order to know the information of
car like manufacturing year, car model and other valuable
information in a single domain.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
The proposed solution for solving the problems encountered by Steve
Graves Motors is to develop a computerized system whereby most
business processes can be carried out in a single place, and all data
relevant to the company is stored centrally. This can lead to a reduction
on the workload for staff and improve the efficiency of running and
managing the business. It is hoped that the new system will be able to
bring most aspects of the business together so that they can all be carried
out together. Therefore be able to manage stock control for vehicles on a
computer system, and then use this data to process the sale of a vehicle
by adding the customer and finance details to an invoice, and finally
storing these in a database where all the details of the sale can easily be
retrieved in the future directly from the system.
ADVANTAGES
Additionally it is hoped that the new system could solve the other
problems encountered in the current system including the ability to
search for cars with a customer’s specific requirements as the input,
schedule appointments for a repair or service of a vehicle on the system,
automatically calculate the VAT on cars sold and calculate the total
amount of VAT owed, along with many other capabilities to improve on
the current system. Therefore the proposed solution is hoped to
eradicate the problems encountered in the current system and aid the
staff in their daily activities and processes of running and managing the
business.
