TO : All Chief of Police

SUBJECT : Strict Implementation of OPLAN-SITA

DATE : January 3, 2022

1. Reference: Commission on Elections (Comelec) Resolution No. 10728

2. This pertains to the strict implementation of checkpoint in connection to the nationwide


gun ban ahead of the 2022 national and local elections. The implementation of
checkpoints will deter loose firearms, deadly weapons, unauthorized security personnel
as well as private groups. The checkpoints will be located in areas under Alert Level 3.

3. The PNP will conduct checkpoint operations in strategic locations to strictly implement
the nationwide prohibition on the carrying of firearms by unauthorized individuals
effective on January 9, 2022 until June 8 2022 in connection with the 2022 national and
local elections on May 9, 2022.

4. In this regard you are hereby directed to coordinate with the Armed Forces of the
Philippines.
