Flying outside of ATS routes within Indian flight information regions is prohibited unless authorized by air traffic control. An aircraft that deviates significantly from its intended track or is lost may be considered "strayed" and air traffic services will assist it. 3. Types of air traffic services provided include air traffic control, air traffic advisory services, flight information service, alerting service, and surveillance services.
