A. RESEARCH INFORMATION
RESEARCH TITLE
“Project JUVES (Jubilant Utilization of Videos in Earth and Life Science) in
Enhancing the Abilities of Grade 12 Students on Understanding the History of
the Earth “
SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE RESEARCH
This action research is focused on the utilization of videos in the teaching-
learning process. With the ultimate goal of improving the performance of the learners
in Earth and Life Science particularly on the topic Understanding the History of the
Earth, the intervention Project JUVES will be introduced to the respondents.
It is anchored on Howard’s Multiple Intelligence Theory that video combines
many kinds of data such as images, motion, sounds, and text in a complementary
fashion. Thus, using videos is teaching can be adjusted to the diverse learning styles
of students.
Pre-test and posttest will be administered to the respondents in order to
identify the effect size of using Project JUVES to the respondents.

as a diagnostic tool of assessing their prior knowledge and the scores will be

up, the post test will be administered and the scores will be recorded and analyzed.
C. ETHICAL ISSUES
