1 Purpose
This document describes the required firmware update sequences from one version to another version.
2 Scope
L4 Support.
3 Preconditions
Engineering PC being used for firmware update must be in the same subnet as targeted REB500.
REB500 user name and password are required.

This setup is useful if all devices (bay units and central units) has to be updated.
By default the REB500 internal process bus is configured to the subnet 192.168.175.xxx.

This setup is useful if individual devices (bay units and central units) has to be updated.
By default the REB500 front interface is configured with IP address 192.168.0.1. In this case the DHCP
service is active on the device.
Connect the Ethernet cable to the front service interface if a local HMI is available or to the X0 on the rear
side of the bay unit
4.1.2.2 CIM
Connect the Ethernet cable to the X1001 on the rear side of the central unit. An electrical to optic Ethernet
converter or a switch with electric and optic connection is required.
