Course Policies:

Academic Integrity Policy:

For this course, the Honor Code is that there will be no plagiarizing on written work and no cheating on exams. Proper citation must be given to authors whose
works were used in the process of developing instructional materials and learning in this course. If a student is caught cheating on an exam, he or she will be given zero
mark for the exam. If a student is caught cheating twice, the student will be referred to the Office of Student Services and be given a failing grade in accordance with the
guidelines as stated in the BU Students Handbook.

Policies on Absences and Tardiness:

According to CHED policy, total number of absences by the students should not be more than 20% of the total number of meetings or 7 Hours for a two-unit-
course. Students incurring more than 7 hours of unexcused absences automatically gets a failing grade regardless of class standing. This policy is applicable only for
residential (face-to-face) mode of instruction delivery.

BU-F-VPAA-04 Revision: 2
Effectivity: July 8, 2020 Page 10 of 12
Language of Instruction:

The language of Instruction is English. Students are expected to use English in their outputs and reports.

Use of the Learning Management System:

The Bicol University Learning management System (BU-LMS) will be used as the primary Course Site for this course. However, a parallel Google Classroom and
FB Messenger Group Chat are also used for those with difficulty accessing the BU-LMS. Here is the link for the courses:

Google Classroom Code:

CpE 305 PC-BSCpE3A Feedback and Control Systems 2022

FB Messenger Group Chat: CpE 305 PC-BSCpE3A 2022

For students with zero internet connectivity, communications will be via phone and submissions will be through snail Mail or Drop Box.

Use of Mobile Phones and Gadgets:

Please do not use your cell phone or any other mobile devices during class except in instances that I ask you to use them for an activity. That means no texting,
no surfing the web, no gaming, etc. Doing this during class is disrespectful to me and to the students around you; during an exam it is considered cheating. Cellphones
may be left on vibrate for emergency notification only. It MUST be in your bag and off your desk at all times. If you expect an important phone call, quietly excuse
yourself when you receive it. Photos or video may not be taken in class without prior permission.

Special/Make-Up Quiz/Examinations/Work:

Make-Up Summative Tests will be given to students upon approval of their request for such from the Department Head. No Make-Up Classes for Formative Tests.

Dress and Grooming Codes:

All students are expected to wear uniforms during face-to-face meetings. Should there be a synchronous activity through online platforms (e.g., Google Meet,
Zoom, etc.) a proper attire is expected among participants.

Accommodations:

BU-F-VPAA-04 Revision: 2
Effectivity: July 8, 2020 Page 11 of 12
If you require any special accommodations please notify the instructor as soon as possible. This includes potential impact of disability or any religious practice
which may interfere with completion of a scheduled examination, project or homework. Please contact instructor early on in the course to arrange a meeting where we can
plan for any needed accommodations.

Statement on Student Wellness:

Take care of yourself.   Do your best to maintain a healthy lifestyle this semester by eating well, exercising, avoiding drugs and alcohol, getting enough sleep and
taking some time to relax. This will help you achieve your goals and cope with stress. All of us benefit from support during times of struggle. You are not alone. There are
many helpful resources available on campus and an important part of the college experience is learning how to ask for help. Asking for support sooner rather than later is
often helpful. If you or anyone you know experiences any academic stress, difficult life events, or feelings like anxiety or depression, we strongly encourage you to seek
support. Consider reaching out to a friend, faculty or family member you trust for help getting connected to the support that can help.
Advising and Support:

Consultation schedule for this course are as follow:

Online: Th 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Onsite (Face-to-face) consultation is by appointment basis, please set appointment at least a day before your intended date of consultation. Health and Safety
