KEY 08 The Law of Three

In the grand scheme of life, there are only three things that matter for impactful manifestation.
If you get them right, you will never need to pick up a book on manifestation
ever again. Drumroll, please. The three things are:

△ Clarity.
△ Energy.
△ Faith.

It’s that simple. The devil, as always, is in the details. Let’s examine each of
these aspects separately.

CLARITY
I mean EXTREME clarity of what you want. Forget approximations and rounding
errors. The Universe is a complex mathematical system that operates with the precision
of a Swiss watch. Unless you are surgically specific, you might spend years manifesting a
house in Arkansas instead of Hawaii. So indeed, be careful what you wish for—in more
ways than one. The Universe might not fill in the gaps in your favor. If you start with a
vague idea of what you want, you may get a poor and imprecise imitation of your desired
outcome. What’s even worse: it may take you years to realize this. So yeah—“more
money” could just mean $1,000 more, just as “a pretty house” might mean a new set of
floral wallpapers in your old home, or “more free time” might mean spending a month
in a hospital bed with all the time in the world to spare. With manifestation, you must
be specific. However, getting clarity might be harder than you think. As part of getting
clarity, challenge yourself to write at least a couple pages of specifications that describe
every aspect of what you’d like to manifest. If there is an image of what you want, make
sure to include that in your spec.

Example: “I would like my business to grow by 100 employees and $50M in


annual revenue. I would like my office to look like [insert specific details] and have
custom vegan leather furniture with fluffy pink pillows. I would like us to have over
10,000 happy customers that use our products every day. I would love for us to have
offices in New York, Texas, and Florida. I want articles written about us in Forbes
and Business Insider.”

You get the idea—you want to be extremely specific. No detail is too small. As
you are painting a picture of exactly what you want for yourself, the Universe gets a
front row seat into how you are thinking and can hone in on the exact aspects of what
you want. This is step one.

ENERGY
This is where things generally go sideways. By the time we reach adulthood, we are
often weighed down by a slew of expectations, responsibilities, and disappointments
that collectively limit our creative energy. Think of your energy as your bank account
that has a balance. Without any savings in reserve, it is hard to put a down payment
on a new house. Energy is the primary currency of the Universe, and before you can
attract what you want, know that you will have to pay for it with your energy.

Energy is a complex subject, and by using the practices in the previous chapters,
you have started recouping yours. The more energy you have, the faster you can move
toward achieving your goals. However, your energy needs to be targeted toward
achieving a specific thing, or it will get dispersed and scattered. Later in the book, I
will give you the tools to direct your energy and fully align with what you are trying
to achieve. We will also free your energy from any spots where it may be stuck and
unable to serve you.

FAITH
Alas, this one would require true mastery. Our logical brains are wired to only believe
things that we can find the physical proof of. But manifestation works in reverse—first,
you have to believe, then you can receive. The challenge here doesn’t lie in having
faith once; it requires you to maintain faith for a prolonged amount of time, like a
slow-burning candle that cannot go out. Later I share the cultivating habits and mental
constructs that will help you maintain high levels of faith despite outside circumstances.

PRACTICE: THE KEY OF AS CESIS

Most of you will choose to bypass this practice as it is indeed not easy. And yet it is
one of the most ancient and potent practices that can enable you to liberate massive
amounts of your energy. An ascesis is a discipline that you adopt willingly, and it
consists of giving something up. Usually, this something is an activity, a pastime, or
a substance that you really like (or are even potentially addicted to). As you give up a
thing or activity you enjoy or do regularly, you enter a ninja mode where you become
a true energy alchemist. If you feel tired, experience a lack of energy, or find it hard to
find motivation but you are dead set on manifesting the life of your dreams, adopting
an ascesis is a perfect place to start.

Some examples of the things you could give up: coffee, alcohol, red meat, smoking,
sugar, gluten, gossip, social media, or watching TV before bed. Please don’t drop
any habits that actually serve you—for instance, don’t stop working out or drinking
plenty of water. Generally, the energy is freed up when you give up something you have
known you should give up anyway. Every so-called vice claims massive amounts of your
energy, which, when released, can significantly speed up your manifestation process.
As you select an ascesis, make it count. You want to commit to it for a prolonged
amount of time, ideally 90 days. The more you are attached to the object/activity
you are giving up, the better. This level of attachment is completely correlated to the
amount of trapped energy you can free up. For instance, if you somewhat like chocolate
but are crazy about fizzy drinks, give up the fizzy drinks. You will thank me later.
Once you adopt an ascesis, make a pact with the Universe that whatever energy
is liberated in the process must go toward fueling your manifestation. Then watch
what happens—you are bound to notice rewards from the Universe if you stick to
your ascesis. You might get an unexpected gift or a piece of great news. Ascesis really
makes magic happen, and it starts working within days.
