4.1 THE GENIUS OF THE KEYBOARD

In looking the keyboard chart, you may have noticed that some
letters are missing. The genius of the shorthand machine keyboard
arrangement allows for the writing of all vowel and consonant
sounds through the masterful use of letter combinations to
represent those letters that seem to be missing. Use of the
combinations also allows you to keep your fingers close to home for
complete control at all speed levels.
