NOITCUDORTNI
cnacidol is an active ingredient with seboregulating, keratolytic and
antibacterial properties.
Acnacidol is biomimetic to 10-hydroxydecanoic acid, a Royal Jelly omega-
hydroxy acid.
Royal Jelly possesses significant seboregulating properties due to the action
of two pheromones: 10-hydroxydecanoic and 10-hydroxydecenoic acid.
Vincience Research Center developed a pathway for asymmetrical synthesis
allowing the synthesis of 10-hydroxydecanoic acid, whose properties result
from the presence of acid and alcohol functions at the two extremities of the
molecule:
Acnacidol also contains sebacic acid and 1,10-decanediol which reinforce the
activity of 10-hydroxydecanoic acid.
Acnacidol aims to re-establish a physiological equilibrium in acne-prone skin:
1) Acnacidol controls hyperseborrhea
2) Acnacidol inhibits bacterial proliferation.

Acnacidol is recommended for oily and acne-prone skin as well as for
oily hair.
ª Acnacidol controls sebum secretion.
ª Acnacidol likewise has antibacterial properties, which helps to limit
the proliferation of bacterial germs, notably P. acnes .

The formulation C containing an association of two antibacterial agents
inhibited the survival and the development of the majority of the germs tested.
A very slight persistence of
and
was observed.
&RQFOXVLRQ
The formulation containing 2.5% Acnacidol demonstrates a very good
antimicrobial activity on the totality of the germs tested, compared to the
formulation containing no antibacterial agents and with the formulation
containing an association of two antibacterial agents.
