Dear Sir/Madam,
The new-generation Eberspächer Airtronic heater will be available from August 2018. The latest
enhancements mean that the heater now features a host of functional expansions along with modern control
and a much longer service life. These second-generation Airtronic heaters are also fully compatible with the
new-generation control units (EasyStart Pro and EasyStart Web 2018).

Eberspächer CAN bus technology
Operation via CAN-based control units EasyStart Pro and EasyStart Web (2018)
EasyScan for convenient configuration and diagnostics
LIN interface (12 V) => can also be operated with the previous generation of control units (EasyStart
Remote+, EasyStart Select)
S+ interface (12 V + 24 V) – e.g. for a mini-controller (setpoints and external temperature sensor cannot
be combined)
Dynamic, stepless heating output control => more agreeable operating sound
ADR-capable (24-V version)
Integrated altitude sensor for automatic altitude adjustment function up to 3,000 m => no additional
altitude kit required
Brushless motor for a longer 5,000 h service life (all variants!)
Acoustically enhanced fuel metering pump with mechanical damping ring and intelligent current
control
Combination of more heaters and control elements possible => possibility of complex applications.
E.g. two air heaters controlled by EasyStart Web or EasyStart Pro (new control elements 2018)

Error class display in EasyStart Pro or EasyStart Web (2018 version) is a new feature. Error classes (see
table below) are shown on the display (EasyStart Pro) or in the web app (EasyStart Web), alerting vehicle
users to malfunctions so that they can visit a specialist workshop at the earliest opportunity.
Workshops are able to call up the respective and detailed error codes in the workshop menu of EasyScan as
before.
