The Effects of Improving University Facilities on Student's Performance at
Batangas State University Alangilan - CEAFA Campus
I. Have a brief introduction/discussion about the topic.
As students of this university, each individual has their own set of demands and standards
for the university they were enrolled in and the quality of education. Despite being a National
Engineering University, there are some parts of the campus that needs improvement. These
“insufficiencies'' in the university are needed to be paid close attention and must be improved in
order to obtain development and much better quality education that the campus is offering.
A growing amount of research has discovered that school amenities can significantly
affect the performance of teachers and students. School facilities impact the hiring, retaining,
committing, and working hard of teachers. School facilities have an impact on students' behavior,
engagement, learning, and academic growth. Thus, studies typically come to the conclusion that
it is very challenging to serve a large number of children with complex needs in the absence of
proper facilities and resources.
II. Describe your target population and sample.
The study mainly focused on students who are enrolled and attending both online and
face-to-face classes at Batangas State University Alangilan specifically in CEAFA Building.
Students from 1st year to 4th year who took courses related to Engineering, Architecture, and
Fine Arts were the respondents of the study. The researchers selected the students on CEAFA
campus as they also experienced insufficiencies in the campus facilities that affect their learning.
The goal of the study is to identify how those “lacks” affects the students' learning and can be a
hindrance to achieving a better quality of education. The researchers will gather data via survey
questionnaires that mainly focus on the improvement of university facilities.
