I myself isn’t a risk-taker, and don’t usually stay outside of my comfort
zone when it comes to anything. However, there was one time that I did
decide to overcome my ultimate fear of heights by taking skydiving.
If memory serves, it was in 2018, when me and my friend wanted to go to
Nha Trang for vacation and let our hair down. Then, we came across a
man who was advertising his skydiving service. I was hesitant and
completely petrified at first, because as I said earlier that taking risks is not
my forte. But then, eventually, my friend convinced me to take a try as it will
help me with my fear of heights. We got up the plane and were flown very
high and all I can see below my feet are clouds. Then it was time, I took a
deep breath and pluck up the courage to jump. I opened my eyes all I can
see was the beautiful horizon and all my worries are gone. When landed, I
was filled with joy and told myself that I did a great job.
It was truly an eye-opening experience now that my fear of heights is
completely gone. I never knew that taking such risks would bring me out
of my comfort zone and change me. From now on, I would definitely be
taking risks more cause you don’t know if it will affect you positively.

1. Why do boys take risks more often than girls?
There are myriad reasons attributed to why boys are more risk-taking. Obviously, due to their build, boys in many
cultures are always encouraged to do more dangerous activities and to take the hardship, whereas girls are taught to be
gentle. On top of that, boys can show off their masculinity and impress the opposite sex when they take risks.
2. Why young people take risks more often than the elderly?
This fact is attributed to a host of reasons, and I will tell you some of them. Firstly, young people have more time, so
when they take risks and fail, they will have time to recover and learn a lesson from it. Secondly, young people are more
open-minded in accepting the consequences that are unknown as they know that risk-taking can bring them eye-opening
experiences.
