SLAC ON CLASSROOM OBSERVABLE OBJECTIVES OF RPMS-PPST

FOR THE PROFICIENT TEACHERS OF SY 2021-2022
vis-à-vis CLASSROOM OBSERVATION 1
NARRATIVE REPORT

The Department of Education reviewed and revised the previous

contents of RPMS-PPST for the school year 2020-2021 to align its objectives
for the school year 2021-2022 and help the teachers improve the delivery of
quality basic education as the country moves forward facing the post-
pandemic time. For this reason, most teachers who became aware of this
became confused and wanted to ask for guidance and clarifications to
understand and accomplish this new and revised RPMS-PPST (IPCRF) for
the school year 2021-2022. And Mathematics teachers of San Fabian
National High School are not exempted from this kind of confusion.

To help the Mathematics teachers understand and accomplish this

new RPMS-PPST (IPCRF) for this school year, Mrs. Digna J. Reyes, the Head
Teacher VI of the Mathematics Department, instructed Mrs. Sarah Jean C.
Nabua to make a LAC proposal regarding this. With the help of the two
Master Teachers of the same department, Mrs. Nancy J. Aquino and Mrs.
Susana G. Balbin, Mrs. Nabua planned and proposed a LAC entitled SLAC
on Classroom Observable Objectives of the RPMS-PPST for SY 2021-2022.
The LAC session recommended by Mrs. Reyes and approved by the
principal, Dr. Jesus B. Nazareno, was held on March 16-17, 2022, and
participated by the Mathematics teachers of San Fabian National High
School.

Before the formal start of the said session, the registration of teacher
participants and short opening program started by Mrs. Rebecca J. Imbat,
who led an invocation prayer and immediately followed by a short message
from Mrs. Reyes addressing the need to conduct the LAC.

LAC Proper started by Mrs. Susana G. Balbin, the first and only speaker
who was assigned to tackle the Classroom Observable Objectives for
Proficient Teachers for SY 2021-2022. She started her talk by greeting the
teacher participants and presenting the objectives of her topic. Some of the
questions in the participants' mind became lighter and clear as the
discussion became deep. The teachers became more active and responsive

in giving their ideas creating a more informative and interactive atmosphere.
After this, the teachers were asked to answer the reflection form to further
assess the learnings from the topic discussed. The speaker ended her
session by summarizing the key points and thanking the participants for
their active participation.

Right after the speaker ended her part, the first day of demonstration
teaching of the proficient teachers of the Mathematics department started.
The first eleven (11) teachers, Mrs. Gladys Mae Q. Asprer, Mrs. Frecilda E.
Dela Cruz, Mr. Anselmo S. Romero, Mr. Alfredo F. Embuido, Mrs. Flerida
Cabida, Mrs. Mary Joy N. De Vera, Mrs. Rebecca J. Imbat, Mrs. Orpelita F.
Romero, Mrs. Jimer T. Dela Cruz, Mrs. Rebe O. Mamuyac, and Ms. Sofia
Christine Jane H. Reyes were able to display their expertise in their different
teaching styles through demonstration. Their individual execution and
submitted lesson plans targeted not just their lessons' objectives but also
the classroom's observable objectives.

Day 2 started with the attendance checking, and then followed by the
continuation of the demonstration teaching of the remaining proficient
teachers, Mrs. Cresencia E. Rocapor, Mrs. Michelle M. Solis, Mrs. Susana B.
Molo, Mrs. Sarah Jean C. Nabua, and Mr. Bobby F. Vinluan, in the morning.
Then, the afternoon session started with the demonstration teaching of the
two brilliant highly proficient teachers of Mathematics department, Mrs.
Nancy J. Aquino and Mrs. Susana G. Balbin. Their exemplary execution of
their lessons displayed their expertise with their craft which let the
proficient teachers be inspired and motivated more.

The post conference of the teacher demonstrators was held after all the
demonstrations. All proficient teacher demonstrators had a chance to sit
down for a post conference and photo opt with their rater and the
department head. The post conference of the highly proficient teachers with
their rater, the department head, also followed.

The LAC ended with the awarding of certificate and a short closing message
from the department head.
